The Speech and Debate Society (SPADES) proudly joined the Buwan ng Wika culminating activities organized by Dr. Shari Maro R. Raposas, Head of the Languages Department, Mrs. Avelina A. Noble, Filipino instructor, and the BSED Filipino students for the Filipino 1 classes this semester. Held on September 9 and 12, 2025 at the Speech Laboratory, this yearโs competitions showcased the talents of college students in interpreting the theme "Paglinang sa Filipino at Katutubong Wika: Makasaysayan sa Pagkakaisa ng Bansa.โ
In the OPM Solo Singing category, Xandrei Edrich D. Dulay (BLIS 1) emerged as champion, followed by Richelle Suzanne H. Coloma (BS ARCH 1) in second place, Ella Jane N. Ortiza (BSED 1) in third, and John Paul B. Villa (BSCRIM 1) in fourth. For the Extemporaneous Speech competition, Josef M. Angway (BS ARCH 1) secured first place, with Nysa Therese E. Acosta (BS ARCH 5) taking second, Hollie Karma A. Valdez (BAPOS 1) placing third, and John Clarence R. Germino (BSCRIM 1) finishing fourth. Meanwhile, in the Poster-Slogan Making contest, Darrielle A. Nuesca (BS ARCH 1) clinched first place, followed by Jan Pauleen S. Fernando (BS ARCH 1) in second and Natasha Nicole T. Bad-angan (BSNED 1) in third.
