Love was definitely in the air at Saint Louis College! 🥰 From sweet treats to even sweeter moments, it isn't just about the flowers and chocolates but it was also about celebrating the friendships that make our community feel like home. Today, we pressed pause on the requirements to press play on connection, swapped our reviewers for flowers and our stress for smiles. It’s amazing to see that no amount of schoolwork can stop us from coming together as one community.

We sincerely thank everyone who participated in this event, which was made possible by the combine efforts of 𝙋𝙄𝘾𝙀 𝙎𝙇𝘾 𝙎𝘾 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙐𝘼𝙋𝙎𝘼- 𝙎𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙩 𝙇𝙤𝙪𝙞𝙨 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙚. It is truly a great expereince to combine two minds and hearts as one.❤️

𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙬 4:12–23

These verses show how Jesus begins His mission with courage and purpose. Despite challenges, He continues to preach repentance and call people to follow Him. The disciples immediately leave their nets, showing faith and trust in Jesus’ call. This passage reminds us that following Christ requires letting go of what holds us back and choosing to walk with Him. Through Jesus, we are invited to be transformed and to share His love with others.

Let us pray:

Lord Jesus,
Thank You for calling us even in the ordinary moments of our lives.
You invite us to follow You, not because we are perfect,
but because You see what we can become in Your grace.

Give us the courage to leave behind the things that hold us back—
our fears, doubts, and comforts—
and to trust You completely, just as the disciples did.

Teach us to listen to Your voice and respond with faith and obedience.
Use us as instruments of Your healing and love,
so that through our words and actions, others may see Your light.

May our lives reflect Your call to repentance, compassion, and service.
We offer ourselves to You today, Lord.
Amen. 🙏

𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙬 3:13–17
In this passage, Jesus comes to John the Baptist to be baptized, not because He needed repentance, but to fulfill all righteousness. As He comes out of the water, heaven opens, the Spirit descends like a dove, and the Father declares, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” This moment reveals the unity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and marks the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry.

Jesus’ baptism teaches us humility and obedience. It reminds us that following God’s will often means surrender and trust. In Christ, we are invited into a relationship where we are loved, affirmed, and called to live according to God’s purpose.

Prayer:
Lord, help us to walk in humility and obedience, just as Jesus did. Remind us that through Him we are deeply loved and called Your children. Guide us by Your Spirit as we seek to live according to Your will. Amen.

𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙬 2:1-12

When our Lord Jesus Christ was born in the humble manger in Bethlehem, wise men - Magi, had visited Him offering gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Supposedly, after the visit, the wise men shall go back and tell word to the king. But since a warning had appeared in their dream, they chose to depart to their own countries in other ways.

As simple as it may say, today's gospel is more than just mere visits. The gospel talks about how Christ is our joy and light, as shown on how the wise men had beamed and adored baby Jesus. Not only that, but today's gospel also shows that any ethnicity, race, gender, or differences one may have, they are still welcome to follow Christ's light.

Let us pray:

Lord, may you continually guide us in our paths. May you shine us your glory that we may be able to follow you and be joyed in worshipping you, following in your footsteps in showcasing love and service to all of humanity. Amen.

𝓜𝓮𝓻𝓻𝔂 𝓒𝓱𝓻𝓲𝓼𝓽𝓶𝓪𝓼 𝓐𝓻𝓴𝓲-𝓯𝓪𝓶!

Christmas is a gentle reminder that God keeps His promises. In the quiet and simplicity of Bethlehem, Jesus was born—not in power or wealth, but in humility and love. His coming brought light into the darkness and hope into a waiting world.

As we celebrate this season, we are invited to pause and remember what truly matters. Beyond the decorations and gifts, Christmas calls us to open our hearts to Christ, to welcome His peace, and to share His love with those around us. His presence gives meaning to our joy and strength in our struggles.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus. May His light fill our hearts and homes this Christmas. Teach us to live in love, humility, and gratitude, and help us share the hope of Christ with the world. Amen. 🎄✨
