The Gender and Development (GAD) division met with the Software and Application Development Unit (SADU) under the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) division at the Mid-La Union Campus, Conference Room, on August 17, 2026, to design a centralized GAD Database Management System.

𝐃𝐌𝐌𝐌𝐒𝐔-𝐌𝐋𝐔𝐂 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐍 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞

Engr. John Abel R. Delizo, a faculty member of the College of Engineering at Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University–Mid La Union Campus (DMMMSU-MLUC), passed the Associate ASEAN Engineering Register (AAER), earning international recognition in Southeast Asia.

His formal conferment as an Associate ASEAN Engineer will take place at the Asia Pacific Regional Conference in Singapore on September 25, 2026. The AAER qualification targets engineering professionals across Southeast Asian nations to foster international standards, encourage mobility, and support cross-border practice within the ASEAN region.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | DMMMSU-MLUC marked ASEAN Month 2026 on August 24, 2026, with faculty members, non-teaching personnel, and students joining the simultaneous celebration across the university.

Carrying the theme “Navigating Our Future, Together,” the celebration emphasized unity, cooperation, and the shared aspirations of ASEAN member states.

Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University–Mid La Union Campus (DMMMSU-MLUC), through its Institute of Criminal Justice Education (ICJE), organized coordination meetings with law enforcement and military leaders on July 22 and August 5 to prepare the implementation of "Project Mind Fit."

Project Mind Fit is a planned five-year extension initiative designed to build mental wellness and stress resilience among security forces through research-backed programming. Organizers scheduled the initial training modules for launch in October 2026.

The wearing of prescribed school uniforms for students will resume tomorrow, August 24, 2026 (Monday).

Meanwhile, faculty members and nonteaching personnel are enjoined to wear appropriate national attire representing ASEAN member countries in observance of the University’s ASEAN-related activities.

The flag-raising ceremony will also be held simultaneously across all Operating Units of the University.

Everyone is encouraged to remain updated on prevailing weather conditions and closely monitor official University channels for any subsequent advisories or announcements.

Respective campuses and operating units will hold dedicated programs and activities for the occasion. All students, faculty members, and staff are encouraged to wear appropriate ASEAN national attire for the day and participate with the activities.

𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐘 | 𝐀𝐔𝐆𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝟐𝟎, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

Pursuant to the directive of University President Dr. Jaime I. Manuel, Jr., and in view of Memorandum Circular No. 131 issued by the Office of the President of the Philippines, the following arrangements shall be observed University-wide on Thursday, August 20, 2026:

• On-site operations in all offices across the University’s Operating Units shall be suspended, with personnel adopting a Work-From-Home (WFH) arrangement.

• All classes shall be conducted asynchronously.

This advisory supersedes the earlier announcement on the August 20 work arrangements, particularly the onsite reporting requirements previously indicated for faculty members on VSL and nonteaching personnel at MLUC, ELUC, OUS, and SLUC.

Students, faculty members, and personnel are advised to monitor the University’s official communication channels for subsequent announcements and updates.
