In line with the celebration of Internationalization (IZN) Week, Saint Louis College of San Fernando, La Union will host the 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐈𝐀𝐌) 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞𝐬 on 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, at 𝟖:𝟑𝟎 𝐀𝐌 𝐯𝐢𝐚 𝐙𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦. This activity aims to: (a) enhance institutional awareness of the role of internationalization in fostering holistic improvement, and (b) encourage active employee engagement in the institution’s internationalization initiatives, (c) update the employees on the internationalization initiatives, programs, and activities of the institution, and (d) recognize the roles of the employees who help in implementing the IZN programs for the School Year 2025-2026.

With the theme “𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫, 𝐖𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐧𝐬,” this year’s IAM for Employees highlights the institution’s continued commitment to advancing global engagement and fostering a culture of internationalization across all levels of the academic community.

The program highlights a keynote lecture by Mr. Leopoldo Jaime “Leo” N. Valdes, President of Holy Angel University, Angeles City, Pampanga. His presentation, entitled “𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭,” is expected to provide valuable insights on how internationalization can be effectively integrated as a transformative framework for strengthening institutional systems, enhancing academic quality, and promoting sustainable development.

As part of the series of activities for Internationalization (IZN) Week, the Global Affairs Office (GAO) will conduct the 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐈𝐀𝐌) 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 on 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, at 𝟗:𝟎𝟎 𝐀𝐌 via the 𝐙𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦.

This activity aims to enhance the awareness of students across all collegiate programs regarding the institution’s internationalization initiatives. In particular GAO will present the various internationalization programs available for students, including their qualifications, application processes, and implementation cycles. The session will also feature testimonials from students who have participated in mobility programs, such as the Louisian Internationalization Student Ambassador Program, CommTECH, and the Southeast Asian Teacher Programme, sharing their meaningful experiences and insights.

Beyond promoting student awareness, the program likewise seeks to underscore the significance of partnerships, engagements, and internationalization in enriching the overall learning experience and broadening academic and cultural perspectives.

To ensure wide participation, GAO has cascaded the invitation through the academic deans, to be relayed to program heads and, subsequently, to students, ensuring representation from all programs in this important institutional activity.

Student program representatives are encouraged to actively participate in the meeting and deepen their understanding of the institution’s internationalization initiatives and engagement pathways. They are likewise expected to cascade key insights and takeaways to their fellow students within their respective programs, helping extend awareness and engagement across the student body.

Marking a significant milestone in its institutional journey, Saint Louis College of San Fernando, La Union will celebrate its inaugural 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐈𝐙𝐍) 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 on 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟒–𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

Guided by the theme “𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫, 𝐖𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐧𝐬,” this initiative affirms internationalization as a shared and collective endeavor. This event brings together students, faculty, and partners in meaningful collaboration, enriching the institution’s learning environment through webinars, lectures, research activities, MOU and MOA signing ceremony and global engagements. More than a celebration, the IZN Week serves as an avenue to open doors to international opportunities, fostering connections, strengthening competencies, and creating experiences that extend beyond the classroom and into the wider regional, national, and global community.

Calling all aspiring internationalization student ambassadors! If you’re passionate about international exposure, cultural exchange, and representing the Louisian community on a global stage, this is your moment!

The Global Affairs Office is officially opening applications for the Louisian Internationalization Student Ambassadors – Batch 2.

The 𝐋𝐨𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫 (LISA) is the first and flagship program under the International Student Mobility (ISM) Program of the institution. This program aims to encourage student engagement in the internationalization initiatives of the institution. This program also serves as an opportunity to empower the students by exposing them to the international academic and professional communities through participation in trainings, conferences, seminars, mobility programs, and networking activities across Asia.

The LISAs will be enjoying the following benefits:
• Subsidized participation in an internationalization activity abroad, (registration fee, accommodation, land transportation, and airfare).
• Exclusive invitation to participate in institutional internationalization activities.
• Feature in official publications and marketing collaterals of GAO.
• Designation as a Lead Student Advocate for Internationalization of during networking and partnership activities.
• Opportunity to serve as a student volunteer in GAO.

• Must be Roman Catholic
• Officially enrolled in any bachelor’s program during the 1st and 2nd semesters of SY 2025–2026, with at least 18 units each semester
• Currently a 2nd or 3rd year student at the time of application
• Has no grade lower than 80 in the 1st semester of SY 2025–2026
• Willing and physically fit to participate in trainings, conferences, and international mobility programs
• Must be a holder of a valid Philippine passport

Saint Louis College of San Fernando, La Union (SLC-SFLU) has officially established a strategic partnership with Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Indonesia, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s continuing pursuit of internationalization and academic excellence.

Anchored on their shared commitment to holistic development and global engagement, the collaboration will focus on key areas including academic mobility, research collaboration, and community service. These initiatives aim to create meaningful opportunities for students, faculty, and researchers to engage in cross-cultural learning, knowledge exchange, and collaborative innovation.

The partnership was promptly activated through SLC-SFLU’s participation in the International Forum on Mental Health and Positive Wellbeing held on February 9–13, 2026, at Airlangga University in Surabaya, Indonesia. Represented by the Psychology Department, the institution actively engaged in scholarly discussions and international dialogue on mental health and wellbeing-further strengthening ties with global academic partners.

This collaboration underscores SLC-SFLU’s commitment to expanding its global footprint and fostering transformative partnerships that enrich academic programs, strengthen research capabilities, and contribute to community development both locally and internationally.
