Five Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) students from DMMMSUโcomposed of four Financial Management majors and one Marketing Management majorโparticipated via Zoom in the โDMMMSU Internationalization Go: Ready, Set, Global!โ seminar held on May 22, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 NN, which featured student and faculty speakers sharing international academic experiences, exchange program journeys, and global learning opportunities as part of DMMMSUโs internationalization initiative. The participating students were identified as chosen and possible exchange students in line with the universityโs international mobility preparations.
The Financial Management participants included Keirolyn Balcita, Ahron Galinato, Reggie Adam Abubo, and Margan Hannah Roque, while the Marketing Management representative was Shannen Villacorta. These students joined the online seminar via Zoom as part of their exposure to internationalization activities and preparation for possible academic exchange opportunities abroad.
The seminar gathered a diverse lineup of presenters, including student exchange participants, inbound international students, faculty members, and internationalization coordinators. Each speaker shared personal accounts of studying, teaching, or engaging in academic programs abroad, highlighting experiences in countries such as South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, and Canada. The discussions focused on cultural adjustment, academic life in foreign institutions, and the value of participating in exchange and scholarship programs.
Key presentations centered on global opportunities in education, particularly exchange programs, grants, scholarships, and other external funding sources. Speakers also emphasized real-life experiences such as cultural shocks, classroom differences, student life abroad, and strategies for adapting to new environments. These narratives aimed to prepare students for potential international mobility and broaden their understanding of global academic engagement.
The BSBA participants actively engaged in the seminar to gain deeper insights into international academic systems and mobility pathways. Their participation reflects DMMMSUโs effort to identify and prepare students who may be deployed in future exchange programs, strengthening their readiness for global learning experiences.
The program concluded with an open forum where students were given the opportunity to ask questions directly to the speakers. This segment allowed participants to clarify concerns, seek advice, and further engage with the experiences shared during the seminar, reinforcing the eventโs goal of fostering interactive learning and global academic readiness.
