St. Francis Xavier College achieved a significant milestone in regional education after officially receiving its Certificate of Accreditation as a Continuing Professional Development Local Provider from the Professional Regulation Commission through the CPD Council of Accountancy on September 3, 2026.

The certificate (Accreditation No. ACC-2026-189), conferred under the provisions of Republic Act No. 10912 or the CPD Act of 2016, formally authorizes the institution to formulate and conduct certified professional development programs and credit-bearing training seminars.

This regulatory approval marks a major advancement for the province, directly expanding academic and professional opportunities for students, alumni, and local practitioners. Certified Public Accountants and other licensed professionals across Agusan del Sur and neighboring areas can now fulfill their mandatory continuing education requirements locally, eliminating the burden of traveling to distant regional centers.
