UPDATE: The Office of the Student Regent have been informed that the request for the suspension of classes or the implementation of asynchronous learning modalities on February 25, 2026, in observance of the 40th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ป๐ผ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ.
Information reveals that the date falls on a Wednesday, when most students do not have regular classes except for those scheduled once a week. Additionally, ๐๐ฒ๐ฏ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ป ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐น๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฎ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ต๐ผ๐น๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐; ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ, ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ด๐๐น๐ฎ๐ฟ ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐๐ ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ ๐๐ถ๐น๐น ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฒ๐ณ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐.
Furthermore, the administration shared that several faculty members are scheduled for classroom observations as part of the โOutstanding Teacherโ search, and there is currently limited time to reschedule these evaluations. With the University Foundation Week set for the following week, institutional schedules are likewise constrained.
While the request was not granted, we respect the decision of the administration. We continue to encourage the Normalista community to meaningfully commemorate EDSA through reflection, dialogue, and participation in lawful and peaceful activities that honor the values of democracy, freedom, and civic responsibility.

Information reveals that the date falls on a Wednesday, when most students do not have regular classes except for those scheduled once a week. Additionally, February 25 has been declared a working holiday; therefore, regular university operations will remain in effect.
