An International Virtual Cultural Exchange was successfully conducted on April 30, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM via Zoom Conference, bringing together students from General de Jesus College (GJC), Philippines, and Universitas Muhammadiyah Luwuk (UM Luwuk), Indonesia.
With the theme "๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฌ-๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ฅ ๐๐ง๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ง๐ : ๐๐ง๐๐จ๐ง๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ฌ (๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง),โ the webinar aimed to promote global awareness, cultural appreciation, and academic collaboration among students from both institutions. The initiative also supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4, which emphasizes inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all.
The webinar was organized into two breakout rooms: Education and Economy. In the Education breakout room, students from the College of Education of GJC engaged with students from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of UM Luwuk in meaningful discussions and knowledge exchange.
The session featured a series of student-led presentations highlighting cultural and educational perspectives from both countries. Ms. Afifah Mardhiyyah of UM Luwuk opened the discussion with a presentation on โ๐๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ง๐ถ๐ญ ๐๐ฐ๐ถ๐ณ๐ช๐ด๐ต ๐๐ต๐ต๐ณ๐ข๐ค๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ด ๐ช๐ฏ ๐๐ถ๐ธ๐ถ๐ฌ ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐จ๐จ๐ข๐ช.โ This was followed by Ms. Amanda Beatrice Gonzales from GJC, who presented โ๐๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฅ, ๐๐ข๐ฎ๐ช๐ญ๐บ, ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต๐ช๐ต๐บ: ๐๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ด๐ต๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐๐ช๐ญ๐ช๐ฑ๐ช๐ฏ๐ฐ ๐๐ถ๐ญ๐ต๐ถ๐ณ๐ฆ ๐๐ฉ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ถ๐จ๐ฉ ๐๐ถ๐ช๐ด๐ช๐ฏ๐ฆ.โ Mr. Fhilan Fernanda Banun of UM Luwuk then shared insights on โ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ถ๐ข๐ฏ ๐ข๐ด ๐๐ฏ๐ฆ ๐ฐ๐ง ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ฐ๐ค๐ข๐ญ ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐จ๐ถ๐ข๐จ๐ฆ๐ด ๐ช๐ฏ ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐จ๐จ๐ข๐ช,โ emphasizing the importance of preserving indigenous languages. The final presentation was delivered by Ms. Asraruddin of UM Luwuk, who explored โ๐๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ช๐ค๐ฉ ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ท๐ฐ๐ณ๐ด ๐ฐ๐ง ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐จ๐จ๐ข๐ชโ๐ด ๐๐ฐ๐ค๐ข๐ญ ๐๐ถ๐ญ๐ช๐ฏ๐ข๐ณ๐บ,โshowcasing the regionโs unique food culture.
An interactive question-and-answer session followed, allowing participants to engage more deeply with the topics discussed. The event concluded with the awarding of certificates to the speakers in recognition of their contributions, followed by a documentation session to commemorate the successful exchange.
The International Virtual Cultural Exchange reflects the commitment of both institutions to fostering intercultural understanding and enriching the educational experiences of their students through global collaboration.
