SU***DE PREVENTION MONTH 🩷💜
“Centered in Christ. Strengthened through one another.”
In engineering, stress is influenced by the load we carry and the area available to carry it. When the same load is distributed over a greater area, the stress becomes smaller.
Life can feel the same way.
Sometimes, the load becomes too heavy when we try to carry everything alone. Pressure from academics, expectations, failures, relationships, family problems, uncertainty, and personal struggles can accumulate until we feel overwhelmed.
So increase your “supporting area.”
Talk to someone.
Share what you are carrying.
Reach out to a friend, family member, teacher, mentor, counselor, or mental health professional.
And above all, remain centered in Christ.
A good structure does not depend on only one member. Engineers provide supports, connections, and even redundant load paths so that when one part is heavily stressed, the entire system does not have to fail.
Our lives need these supports, too.
The people God places around us are not signs that we are weak. They can be part of His way of carrying us through difficult seasons. A listening friend, a caring teacher, a family member, a counselor, or someone simply willing to stay beside us can become an important “support” when the load feels unbearable.
And when someone reaches out to you, be that support.
Listen.
Stay.
Pray with them.
Help them find the right people.
Share the load.
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
— Galatians 6:2
In structures, redundancy provides another path for the load.
In life, connection provides another path toward hope.
Let Christ be our firm foundation, and let us become supports for one another.
Because no structure should depend on a single member—
and no person should have to carry every load alone.
Build connections.
Strengthen supports.
Share the load.
Choose hope.
Keep building.
Your life matters.
Your story is not finished.
There are still beautiful things God can build through you. 🩷
