The 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳 is currently underway. The Executive Officers of the organization have officially met with the members of their working committees to discuss the overview and guidelines of the Psychology Society.

Led by our 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗮𝗵 𝗧. 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗮𝗹 and the 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹, 𝗠𝗶𝗸𝗮𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗖. 𝗜𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼, as the host of the orientation, alongside our fellow Executive Officers, they introduced themselves and the respective committees they facilitate to ensure a better understanding of the official bylaws. The code of conduct and membership guidelines were also discussed to reinforce the proper behavior and etiquette expected of every Psychology Society member.

Meeting the new working committee members marks the official completion of the Psychology Society lineup. May this moment unite us further and serve as the gateway to a remarkable year for psychology!

To bolster the ranks of the Psychology Society, the Executive Officers of the organization had commenced their first day interview of the applicants for their working committees, held at the 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝟮𝟬𝟰 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵 𝗟𝗮𝗯 𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟭𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

At exactly 𝟵:𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗠, we've formally opened our doors for the applicants of the 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 that lasted until 𝟭𝟮:𝟬𝟬 𝗡𝗡. Tulad ng binanggit ni 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗫𝗶𝗮𝗼 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗮 na iniuugnay sa diwa ni 𝗘𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗼 𝗔𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗱𝗼, "𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘶𝘭𝘪 𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘬𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘬𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘸 𝘴𝘢 𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯". Ang kalayaan ay hindi basta ipinagkaloob—ito ay ipinaglaban at pinaghirapan.

Ngunit habang ipinagdiriwang natin ang araw na ito, mahalagang itanong: ganap na nga ba tayong malaya? Sa kabila ng pagwawakas ng kolonyal na pananakop, marami pa ring Pilipino ang patuloy na nakararanas ng kahirapan, kawalan ng pagkakataon, at mga sistemang hindi laging nagsisilbi para sa kapakanan ng mamamayan. Ang mga tanikala ay maaaring nagbago ng anyo, ngunit ang laban para sa tunay na kalayaan ay nananatili.

𝗔𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗮𝗻, 𝗞𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗸𝘂𝘆𝗮𝗻.

Patuloy nating iwagayway ang watawat hindi lamang bilang simbolo ng ating kasarinlan, kundi bilang paalala ng ating tungkulin sa bayan. Ang kalayaang tinatamasa natin ngayon ay bunga ng sakripisyo ng mga bayani na nag-alay ng kanilang buhay para sa sambayanan.
