ANNOUNCEMENT.

Please be advised that all academic and administrative operations of North Eastern Mindanao State University – San Miguel Campus 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄, 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟯𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, in commemoration of the 5th NEMSU Day.

This is to facilitate the mandatory participation of all university personnel in the scheduled institutional celebration.

Standard administrative and business operations are scheduled to 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟯𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 (𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆).

The Gender and Development Office of NEMSU San Miguel Campus proudly participated in the “Kababayen-an, Katungod ug Kagawasan: Regional Women’s Rights Forum” held on March 27, 2026 at Caraga State University.

The forum brought together gender advocates, leaders, and human rights defenders across Caraga to strengthen efforts in advancing women’s rights and gender equality.

Together, we move forward with one voice—Abante, Babae! 💜

𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆

In celebration of Women’s Month 2026, the North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) highlighted the theme “We Gender Equality and Inclusive Society” during a program held on March 18, 2026, at the NEMSU San Miguel Campus. The event brought together faculty, staff, and students to honor the contributions of women in education and community service while promoting gender-responsive initiatives.

The program opened with welcoming remarks by Dr. Marvie V. Gonzaga, OIC Campus Director, followed by the introduction of the resource speaker by Ana Meludina P. Molina, MAEd, GAD Focal Person of NEMSU San Miguel.

Dr. Jane Cervantes Oropa, EdD, GAD Focal Person of NEMSU Lianga Campus, delivered a keynote talk titled “Women Educators and Service Leaders: Strengthening Gender-Responsive Student and Administrative Support Systems”, emphasizing the importance of empowering women educators and fostering inclusive support systems for students and staff.

A message from Prof. Clemencia L. Sumagaysay, PhD, Professor VI, further highlighted the critical role of women leaders in shaping responsive and equitable academic and administrative environments.

The program concluded with closing remarks from Tetchie E. Rafael, MSF, Administrative Officer V, reaffirming NEMSU’s commitment to promoting gender equality and inclusivity across all its campuses.

The celebration provided a platform to recognize women’s achievements, inspire leadership, and reinforce the university’s ongoing efforts toward building a more inclusive and equitable academic community.
