Excellence takes many formsโfrom years of dedicated service and professional accomplishments to meaningful partnerships that help an institution move forward. These contributions were celebrated as the Dalubhasaan ng Lunsod ng San Pablo (DLSP) held Gawad Parangal 2026 on October 16 at Hotel Amihan.
Carrying the theme โTanglaw Dalubhasaan: Huwaran ng Husay, Dangal at Paglilingkod,โ the event brought together members of the academic community, local government representatives, and institutional partners in recognition of the people whose work and commitment have contributed to DLSPโs continuing development.
One of the highlights of the gathering was the recognition of awardees across several categories, each reflecting a distinct contribution to the institution.

Under the Dalublingkod category, personnel recognized for their dedicated and long-standing service included Marlon R. Magno, Judelyn D. Gutierrez, Dr. Joselito S. Reyes, Melvin A. Magno, Gerald C. Manalo, Arnold E. Belen, Elvin A. Empemano, Roberto G. Bacay, Nazaria A. Marasigan, and Luzviminda B. Bandian. Their recognition highlighted the value of sustained commitment to public service and institutional growth.
The Dalubdangal award was conferred upon distinguished alumni Dr. Patrick James Pelicano, Dr. Jay Ann Consignado-Octoman, and Mr. Ferdinand Castillo, acknowledging their accomplishments and contributions as members of the DLSP alumni community.
For outstanding performance among personnel, the Dalubkawani awards were presented to Maria Florence Faye Pacia in the Job Order category, Wilkester Pujanes in the First Level category, and Alvaro Dioquino Jr. in the Second Level category.
Faculty excellence was also recognized through the Dalubguro awards. Maria Theresa A. Tolentino of the College of Accountancy was recognized in the Lecturer category, while Reeza R. Suazo of the College of Accountancy also received recognition in the Regular category.
The institution also paid tribute to its retiring personnel and faculty membersโVrenali Majela Tolentino, Nieva Monton, Benjamin Maghirang, and Lilian Beldaโin appreciation of their years of service and contributions to the Dalubhasaan.

Beyond individual achievements, DLSP recognized the organizations and sponsors that have helped support its initiatives. The Dalubyakap category acknowledged sponsors, while Dalubkabalikat recognized private organizations that have established meaningful partnerships with the institution.
The ceremony also acknowledged the Technical Working Groups responsible for organizing the event and the individuals who contributed to the production of the official DLSP Institutional Promotional Video.
Adding to the celebration, Wilkester Pujanes, Rina Dayan and Peterson Robles were named the winners of the Best Dressed award.

DLSP President Dr. Sigfredo Adajar, LPT, emphasized the importance of unity in strengthening the institution. His message accompanied the launch of the official institutional promotional video, an initiative that showcased the identity and aspirations of the Dalubhasaan.
Messages of support were also delivered by Acting City Mayor and DLSP Board of Trustees Chairperson Hon. Carmela Acebedo; Hon. Dr. Richard C. Pavico, Chairperson of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee on Higher Education and Technical-Vocational Courses and member of the Board of Trustees; Raymundo Laguras, representing Acting Vice Mayor Shaira Aliyah โBarbieโ Diaz; and Dr. Marc Lester F. Quintana, Vice President for Research and Extension.
The program concluded with a message from Sherwin Quizon, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services.
Gawad Parangal 2026 served as a reminder that the strength of an institution is reflected not only in its achievements, but also in the dedication of its people, the commitment of its partners, and the shared responsibility to serve the community.
Through this annual recognition, DLSP celebrates the individuals and organizations whose contributions continue to help shape its institutional journey.
