Tips on What to Do When Being Bullied
โข Stay Calm โ Try not to react with anger; staying calm can help defuse the situation.
โข Walk Away โ If possible, remove yourself from the situation without engaging.
โข Speak Up Confidently โ Use a firm, respectful voice to say things like โStop,โ or โThatโs not okay.โ
โข Tell a Trusted Adult โ Talk to a teacher, parent, or counselor about what happened.
โข Keep a Record โ Write down what happened, when, where, and who was involved (especially for ongoing or cyberbullying).
โข Avoid Retaliating โ Responding with violence or insults can make things worse and get you in trouble too.
โข Stay with Supportive Friends โ Bullies are less likely to target you when youโre not alone.
โข Block and Report โ For cyberbullying, block the bully and report the behavior on the platform.
โข Seek Counseling or Support โ Talking to the schoolโs guidance and counseling office can help you cope emotionally.
โข Remember Itโs Not Your Fault โ You donโt deserve to be bullied, and help is available.
๐ค Help is always available. The Guidance and Counseling Office is here to listen, support, and stand with you.
๐ฃ๏ธ Donโt be afraid to speak up. Seeking help is a strength, not a weakness.
