JSTHM Seminar Highlights 2026: Conservation, Cultural Preservation, and Community Empowerment

On July 17, the SBST2_01 Tourism Management students successfully conducted the seminar entitled “Hospitality and Tourism Management Advocacy for Conservation, Cultural Preservation, and Community Empowerment.”

The event aimed to raise awareness of the importance of sustainable hospitality and tourism practices while encouraging participants to become advocates for environmental conservation, cultural preservation, and community development. Through engaging discussions and meaningful activities, the seminar provided valuable learning experiences for everyone in attendance.
The seminar was honored by the presence of our esteemed Guest Speaker, Dr. Iluminada L. Bueno, who shared her expertise and inspiring insights on the role of hospitality and tourism in creating positive change. We also extend our sincere gratitude to our Dean, Professor, and the Hospitality and Tourism Management Department Faculty for their unwavering support, guidance, and encouragement, all of which played a significant role in making this event possible.

To all the participants, thank you for your active participation and enthusiasm throughout the seminar. Finally, congratulations to the SBST2_01 Tourism Management students, whose teamwork, dedication, and hard work made this event a success. Together, we strengthened our commitment to conservation, cultural preservation, and community empowerment, and we look forward to creating more meaningful opportunities that inspire learning, collaboration, and positive impact.
