SAN REMIGIO, CEBU — In a united effort to protect coastal ecosystems and promote environmental stewardship, members of the Fraternal Order of Eagles under CVR 18, together with partner units CNSREC, CNSRLEC, CNBEC, CNBLEC, CNEC, LAPYAHAN EC, and CNSSFEC, successfully conducted a joint community outreach and humanitarian service through a mangrove tree planting activity on May 1, 2026.

The initiative, held in collaboration with the Philippine National Police (PNP) San Remigio and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) San Remigio, also highlighted the active partnership of the Municipality of San Remigio under the leadership of Kuya Mayor Mariano Martinez and Ate Vice-Mayor Alfie Corominas Gonzalez.

Volunteers gathered along the coastal area to plant mangrove seedlings aimed at restoring and strengthening the shoreline’s natural defenses. Participants from various sectors worked hand in hand, demonstrating solidarity and a shared commitment to environmental conservation.

The activity forms part of ongoing efforts to mitigate coastal erosion, enhance marine biodiversity, and raise community awareness on sustainable practices. Organizers emphasized that beyond tree planting, the initiative symbolizes unity, service, and responsibility toward future generations—echoing the call to “plant today and protect tomorrow.”
