LOOK//On December 13, 2025, the Cagayan State University–Sanchez Mira ROTC Unit conducted the 2nd Training Day of Military Science 2 (MS2)at the university parade ground, alongside the official opening of the Cadette Officer Qualifying Course (COQC). The activity was led by MAJ Roger U. Buco PA (RES) under the supervision of Mr. Cris Ian T. Rodriguez, MSCrim, with support from the Advance ROTC Officership headed by C/LTC Glenn Mico Blanco and TSG Jerlymar Manuel (INF) PA as Admin and Logistics NCO.

The training focused on formations and drill exercises to strengthen discipline, coordination, and military skills among the cadets. The opening of the COQC marked a key milestone for aspiring cadette officers, emphasizing leadership, integrity, professionalism, and service. Overall, the activity reinforced the ROTC Unit’s commitment to developing disciplined, capable, and service-oriented future leaders.

CSU Sanchez Mira ROTC Training Update

On December 14, 2025, the CSU Sanchez Mira ROTC Unit held its third day of Military Science 2 (MS2) training at the university parade ground. The session was led by TSG Jerlymar Manuel (INF) PA, with the guidance from ROTC Coordinator Mr. Cris Ian T. Rodriguez, MSCrim, and support from the Advance ROTC Officership, headed by C/Col Glenn Mico Blanco 1CL.

Cadets began with attendance and formation, followed by basic drills to strengthen discipline, coordination, and precision. These activities helped reinforce military bearing and instill values of honor, respect, and service—qualities essential for becoming responsible citizens and future reservists.

On the same day, ROTC cadets give blood to help others with the theme: 'Dugong buhay aming alay bilang mga makabagong bayani tungo sa sandigan ng bagong Pilipinas'. One simple act can save a life.This is true service and care for the community.

All cadets are required to participate in the upcoming ROTC Training Day. 100% attendance is mandatory with no exceptions, and will be strictly monitored. Unexcused absence will result in appropriate disciplinary action.

This training is a core duty of your role as a cadet, and full compliance is expected. Please report on time, in full uniform, and be prepared to carry out all assigned tasks with discipline and professionalism.

JUST IN//On December 6, 2025. The Cagayan State University Sanchez Mira ROTC Unit officially commenced the first day of Military Science 2 (MS2) training at the university parade ground. The session was led by MAJ Roger U. Buco PA (RES), under the supervision of ROTC Coordinator Mr. Cris Ian T. Rodriguez, MSCrim. The activity was supported by the Advance ROTC Officership led by C/LTC Glenn Mico Blanco, together with TSG Jerlymar Manuel (INF) PA, who served as the Admin and Logistics NCO for the training.

The day began with the attendance check, followed by formation and basic drillings aimed at reinforcing discipline, coordination, and precision among the cadets. As cadet, they revisited these essential fundamentals to strengthen their skills and prepare for more advanced duties in the upcoming sessions.

Sanchez Mira, Cagayan – August 30, 2025 – The Cagayan State University Sanchez Mira (CSU-SM) ROTC Unit successfully conducted the sixth day of Military Science 1 (MS1) training at the university parade ground. The session was led by MAJ Roger U. Buco PA (RES), under the supervision of ROTC Coordinator Mr. Cris Ian T. Rodriguez, MSCrim, and supported by the Advance ROTC Officership led by C/LTC Glenn Mico Blanco.

The training began with attendance check. This was then followed by formation and basic drills to reinforce discipline, coordination, and precision.

Cadets later attended a lecture on AFP Core Values and Code of Ethics by C/Maj LESTHER JOHN EAPIRITU 1CL, highlighting the significance of integrity, service, and excellence, as well as the ethical standards that guide the conduct of every member of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

The activity further strengthened the cadets’ military bearing and instilled deeper appreciation for the values of honor, respect, and service — vital in molding them into disciplined future reservists and responsible citizens.

The CSU-SM ROTC Unit continues to uphold its mission of developing the next generation of patriotic leaders through discipline, service, and leadership.
