The Young Hoteliers and Restaurateurs Association (YHRA) successfully conducted its Orientation Program for the newly elected officers and members of the organization. The activity introduced the organization's mission, vision, roles, responsibilities, and policies while presenting the proposed Income-Generating Projects (IGPs) and planned activities for the Academic Year 2026โ€“2027.

The orientation served as a meaningful opportunity to strengthen teamwork, encourage active participation, and prepare every member to work together in achieving the organization's goals. As YHRA begins another promising chapter, may this program inspire every officer and member to lead with integrity, serve with excellence, and grow as future hospitality professionals.

As part of the observance of National CPR Day 2026, selected first-year Hospitality Management students taking the Risk Management course participated in an orientation conducted by Northwestern Cagayan General Hospital (NCGH) under the theme โ€œEstudyanteโ€™t Titser, Sa Barangay, Ating mga Lifesaver,โ€ with the support of the Young Hoteliers and Restaurateurs Association (YHRA).

The orientation provided participants with essential knowledge and practical skills on the proper conduct of Hands-Only CPR, emphasizing the importance of staying calm and responding immediately during emergency situations. Students also learned about the common challenges encountered while performing CPR and how proper training can help increase the chances of saving a person's life.

To make the learning experience more meaningful, the program featured interactive discussions, engaging activities, and hands-on CPR demonstrations that allowed participants to apply the techniques they had learned while building confidence in responding to real-life emergencies.

One of the resource speakers also shared an inspiring reminder: โ€œHeroes are sometimes people who know CPRโ€”people who stay calm during emergencies and choose to help.โ€ The message emphasized that anyone can become a lifesaver through preparedness, courage, and the willingness to act when every second matters.

In support of the activity, the Young Hoteliers and Restaurateurs Association (YHRA) assisted in the overall conduct of the program by helping prepare the venue, distributing meals to participants, and facilitating selected activities throughout the orientation.

Through this learning experience, the selected first-year Hospitality Management students gained valuable life-saving knowledge and developed a stronger sense of responsibility, preparing them to become more responsive, compassionate, and service oriented future hospitality professionals.
