This year's celebration carries the theme “Resilient Museums and Galleries: Educating for Preparedness and Recovery.” It reminds us that museums and galleries are not only an avenue for history and art, but also spaces that teach us how to be ready, respond, and recover as a community.

Through this year's activities. MGM 2025 hopes to spark awareness about readiness, share knowledge on crisis response, and bring together professionals, agencies, commnunity partners, and people to work hand in hand.

"BONGAO BIODIVERSITY, TODAY AND - TOMORROW "

In 2020, there are some species of 'Tortoises' has been found in Bongao terrestrial environment. They belong to Philippine forest tortoises, is critically endangered and IUCN Red List due to deforestation and conversion of forest land into residential, agricultural, charcoaling and other uses impact their natural habitat.

We had collected two species of tortoises from Pantay - Pantay forest land of Bongao Island and brought to our house for further scientific observation and characteristics about their nature. They are endemic biodiversity to Bongao. Few months from now, we will return them back to their natural habitat. This tortoise fauna belongs to phylum Reptilia can live for 80 to 150 years, with some species exceeding 200 years. In SAMA language (Sinama) called "KULA - KULA".

THIS INFORMATION reminds everybody concerning the existence of Bongao Biodiversity from the time now on and beyond the future is highly essential to our life. Let me share with you the photographs of the species.
