This month, let us raise awareness about 𝗛𝗜𝗩 and 𝗔𝗜𝗗𝗦, promote prevention, and remind everyone that no one deserves to be judged or discriminated against because of their health status. There are people who are willing to listen, understand, and help you without judgment or hurtful comments. You are not alone.
According to the Department of Health (DOH), the Philippines recorded 17,551 newly diagnosed HIV cases in 2024, highlighting the importance of awareness, education, and early testing.
Remember, HIV is preventable, and knowing your status is an important step toward protecting yourself and others. Learn the facts, practice safer s*x, use condoms correctly, consider PrEP if appropriate, and get tested. HIV is not transmitted through ordinary social contact, such as hugging, sharing food, or being close to someone.
