Position Title: Administrative Aide VI
(Electronics and Communications Equipment Technician I)
(Contract of Service)
Qualifications:
• Education: Preferably graduate of bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any related course
• Experience: With at least one (1) year of relevant work experience
• Training: At least 4 hours of related training
• Eligibility: None required
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing campus network systems including servers, firewalls, VLANs, WLANs and
telephone and communication systems, internet, Local and Wide Area Networks
(LAN/WAN) linked to various computer platforms, operating systems, network
capabilities and topologies.
2. Installing and configuring network systems to maintain connectivity of systems,
internet and sources.
3. Handling of complex network systems, provide ongoing troubleshooting, and resolve
performance problems.
4. Conducts run of programs, settings and pe*******on testing to be sure that university
network is free from cyber threats.
5. Responding, troubleshooting and resolving reported cases.
6. Must repair electronic equipment problems.
7. Maintain records and logs related to reported problems.
8. Report suspected network and data breaches.
Additional Tasks
1. Maintain functionality and connectivity of the computer laboratories.
2. Assist offices and faculty on computer problems as needed.
