ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON AUGUST 20

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 131, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 20, 2026:

๐Ÿ“ Ilocos Norte
๐Ÿ“ Ilocos Sur
๐Ÿ“ La Union
๐Ÿ“ Pangasinan
๐Ÿ“ Bataan
๐Ÿ“ Bulacan
๐Ÿ“ Nueva Ecija
๐Ÿ“ Pampanga
๐Ÿ“ Tarlac
๐Ÿ“ Zambales
๐Ÿ“ Batangas
๐Ÿ“ Cavite
๐Ÿ“ Laguna
๐Ÿ“ Rizal
๐Ÿ“ Occidental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes and learning continuity measures at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) workers placed under alternative work arrangements shall be paid their corresponding wages or salaries, subject to applicable rules and regulations.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

Dear PHINMA Ed Students,

Please be advised that classes will be suspended tomorrow, August 18, in accordance with the government directive due to the expected continuous heavy rainfall brought by the southwest monsoon (habagat).

In consideration of the class suspension, all P1 examinations will be moved to next week. This week, classes will proceed with P2 lessons and discussions as scheduled, unless further class suspensions are announced.

Please wait for your teachers to provide the revised P1 examination schedule and make the necessary preparations.
