Today, we proudly celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Alpha Phi Omega, a century of leadership, friendship, and service. In honor of this historic milestone, we conducted meaningful community outreach activities including Libreng Gupit, Gift Giving, and a Feeding Program.

These activities were successfully held at Urban, Martinez, City of Mati, Davao Oriental, as part of our commitment to serve and uplift the community.

A hundred years strong, and still living the true spirit of Service to Humanity. 💛💙

In response to the recent magnitude 7.4 earthquake, Alpha Phi Omega (APO) and Scouts Royale Brotherhood (SRB) joined forces to distribute much-needed relief goods to the families of Barangay San Ignacio, Barangay Holy Cross, and Barangay San Isidro in Manay, Davao Oriental. This collaborative relief operation was a resounding success, bringing hope and assistance to those most affected by the disaster.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our generous sponsors and donors whose support made this mission possible. Your contributions were vital in delivering essential aid swiftly and effectively.

We also sincerely thank the dedicated volunteers from Alpha Phi Omega and Scouts Royale Brotherhood whose tireless efforts and compassion ensured the smooth distribution of relief goods. Your commitment exemplifies the true spirit of leadership, friendship, and service.

This event is a testament to the power of unity and cooperation. Together, Alpha Phi Omega and Scouts Royale Brotherhood have demonstrated that through collective action, we can bring relief and uplift the communities in their time of need.

We urgently appeal for your support to help the affected communities in Mindanao, Philippines, after the devastating 7.4-magnitude earthquake. The earthquake has caused significant damage, displacement, and disruption to the lives of thousands, including vulnerable children. World Vision Philippines is mobilizing emergency response efforts to provide lifesaving essentials, establish Child Friendly Spaces, and support affected families.

The Philippines, written in poetry as “the cradle of noble heroes”, has a colorful and glorious history — of wars won and lost, of struggles for independence against colonizers, of bravery and sacrifice. Since the 16th century, the Philippines had been a part of the Spanish Empire until June 12, 1898 when its more than 300-years reign in the Philippines came to an end. After a bloody war, the first Philippine President Emilio Aguinaldo proclaimed the nation’s independence in Kawit, Cavite. This was followed by 50 years of American occupation when the Philippines became a U.S. colony, the only true colony that the U.S. has ever had. Then came the Japanese invasion where Filipino soldiers fought side-by-side with the Americans in defending the Philippine territory. Throughout the many centuries of foreign occupation, the flame of our national spirit and yearning for independence has never died.

"Small but Impactful"

At the Provincial Meet 2024, the exemplary service of Alpha Phi Omega shone brightly through their provision of free drinking water. With a commitment to community welfare, Xi Delta set up a hydration stations strategically throughout the event venue, ensuring that participants and attendees had easy access to clean and refreshing water. This thoughtful initiative not only reflected the core values of Alpha Phi Omega but also contributed significantly to the overall well-being of the gathering. Amidst the spirited competitions and camaraderie, the free drinking water service offered a respite, promoting hydration and health. Brothers and Sisters from Alpha Phi Omega displayed remarkable dedication, tirelessly refilling water dispensers, assisting individuals, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Their selfless efforts not only quenched the physical thirst of those present but also symbolized the fraternity's commitment to service and community engagement. The "Free Drinking Water" initiative became a beacon of goodwill, fostering a sense of unity and gratitude among participants, and undoubtedly left an enduring impression of Alpha Phi Omega's positive impact at the Provincial Meet.

APO acknowledges the existence of an ecological catastrophe and climate change, which is shown in the fight against extreme weather events around the world, the deterioration of natural resources due to climate-related effects that take time to materialize, and the rise in threats to biodiversity, health, and security.

Under Presidential Decree No. 760 series of 2014 where the month of January is declared as "Zero Waste Month" APO initiated a service to protect and nurture our common home. Brothers and Sister from different collegiate chapters, together with Mati Alumni Associations and Scout Royale brotherhood, Epsilon Xi Chapter gathered to participate in the service held at Dahican and Guang-Guang Mati City, Davao Oriental.

The Alpha Phi Omega Xi delta chapter mours the passing of Brod. Jay Dagnopan, Xi Delta 12A. A fighter, a leader, a friend and a servant.

May our father in heaven grant eternal repose on his soul and provide strenght to his bereaved family.
