𝗕𝗮𝗵𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗮, 𝗚𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗮 - 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗨𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗨𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

A safer school therefore requires more than a stronger gate. It requires institutions capable of identifying risks early, supporting students who need intervention, addressing bullying and other forms of conflict, understanding digital threats, controlling access to weapons, and providing the personnel and resources necessary to perform those functions. Security should be one layer of protection, not the entire architecture of prevention.

At sa bawat pagpikit, lalong nagigising pa.

#𝗦𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | For the second time, the 2026 PUP Student Council (SC) Election Calendar has been updated following adjustments to the filing of certificates of candidacy (COC), candidate deliberation and verification, and campaign periods.

According to a Facebook post by the PUP SC Commission on Elections (COMELEC), these changes were made to "accommodate the extended deliberation and campaign periods while ensuring a smooth, fair, and organized election process." The COMELEC also noted that this year's elections will feature roughly 60,000 student voters and over 169 candidates.

Earlier, SAMASA PUP filed a petition to extend the COC filing period, which was originally scheduled for September 7–11. This was granted by the PUP SC COMELEC on September 12, citing consecutive class suspensions caused by inclement weather brought by the southwest monsoon. This decision prompted the first revision of the election calendar.

The latest version of the election calendar complies with Resolutions No. 003 (Extension of COC Deliberation Period) and No. 004 (Extension of the General Campaign Period), Series of 2026.
