Yeehaw to a day well spent. The ADFAS Cowboy Christmas Party 2025 brought together the Administration, Faculty, and Staff of La Patria College for an unforgettable celebration filled with laughter, camaraderie, and holiday cheer.

From high-energy parlor games, show-stopping pop dance and singing performances, to the excitement of exchange gifts and raffle draws, the event truly captured the spirit of togetherness and gratitude.

Beyond the cowboy hats and festive dรฉcor, the evening was a meaningful reminder that La Patria College thrives because of the unity, dedication, and joy shared by its people.

La Patria College was formally recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office II with two Certificates of Recognition during the Regional Executive Conference, Engagement, and Collaboration (REConEC) held on December 9 at St. Paul University Philippines, Tuguegarao City.

The first distinction acknowledges the institutionโ€™s invaluable contribution as a Partner Implementer of the CHED Merit Scholarship Program (CMSP), reflecting LPCโ€™s steadfast commitment to supporting deserving learners and fostering equitable access to quality higher education.

The second certificate was awarded for the institutionโ€™s 100% submission of the Higher Education Management Information System (HEMIS) Report for Academic Year 2025โ€“2026.
This accomplishment affirms LPCโ€™s dedication to accurate data reporting, timely compliance, and the strengthening of evidence-based higher education governance.

These recognitions underscore La Patria Collegeโ€™s continuing pursuit of academic quality, operational integrity, and meaningful collaboration with CHED and other education stakeholders.

Representing the institution during the ceremony were Jean Russel Paulmitan, OIC for Academic Affairs; Jaser Barcelona, OIC for Research and Internationalization Affairs; and Glydel Sagun, OIC for Student Affairs, who collectively affirmed LPCโ€™s commitment to excellence in service of its learners and the community.

La Patria College successfully conducted its Research Capability Seminar titled โ€œEmpowering Faculty Researches: Strengthening Research Writingโ€ on November 17, 2025, at the Audio-Visual Room.

The whole-day training, facilitated by Dr. Leonardo I. Cabauatan Jr., brought together faculty members from different departments to deepen their understanding of research writing and strengthen their role as knowledge producers in the academe.

Mr. Cabauatan emphasized that in higher education, research is no longer optional; it has become an essential part of academic life. He highlighted how research drives innovation, informs instruction, and elevates institutional quality.

Faculty members were encouraged to embrace research not as an additional workload, but as a vital scholarly responsibility that enhances teaching, improves community engagement, and contributes to national development.

Throughout the seminar, participants gained practical insights on refining research problems, structuring proposals, applying appropriate methodologies, and ensuring academic integrity.
The activity also served as a platform for faculty collaboration, fostering a culture of inquiry and evidence-based practice across the institution.

La Patria College extends its heartfelt gratitude to Maโ€™am Aisen Faith C. Marrero, President, and Ma'am Jean Russel B. Paulmitan, OIC - Academic Affairs, for their unwavering support and commitment to strengthening the research culture of the institution. Special appreciation is also given to Sir Jaser A.
