An 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women concluded with the meaningful program highlighting awareness, legal protections, and student empowerment to support survivors and promote gender equality on December 12, 2025 at NISU-VSC Gymnasium with the theme, โ๐๐๐ข๐๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ ๐๐๐-๐
๐ซ๐๐ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฌ,โ
Atty. Eugene Silva A. Balbacal, Public Attorney I from the PAO - Barotac Viejo District Office, provided an informative session on RA 9262, the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act. She explained the scope of the law and identified those protected under it. The session included a lively Q&A where students engaged actively, asking questions about women's laws and rights.
Dr. Jasper Hope F. De Julian, GAD Focal Person, delivered the welcome remarks, emphasizing that "Empowerment begins with Education."
She highlighted that "When individuals understand the laws that protect women, they know where to seek help, they are equipped to assert their rights and know how to support survivors."
Meanwhile, Campus Administrator Dr. Raffy B. Chavez, added "Let us not let the momentum fade โ we will never stop working to ensure that every woman can lead without fear and be the agents of change."
The afternoon session featured messages from Dr. Rosario P. Noderama, GAD TWG Instruction Coordinator, the competitions included Character Impersonation, Interpretative Dance, Essay Writing, and Poster Making, providing students creative avenues to express their commitment to ending violence against women.
This comprehensive program demonstrated the campusโs strong commitment to fostering awareness, education, and active participation in the fight to end violence against women, empowering every individual to be an agent of change.
