NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

The Student Welfare Unit, in collaboration with the Student Organizations and Activities Unit, is convening a meeting on Thursday, September 25, at 4:00 PM in the New AVR, located near the CTE Department.

This meeting will primarily focus on issues pertinent to LGBT members; however, participation from the broader Kasubay Community is strongly encouraged to foster inclusivity and shared dialogue.

Attendees will be granted excusal from their respective classes starting at 4:00 PM. Regular classes will recommence immediately following the conclusion of the meeting. Students enrolled in evening courses are encouraged to attend their designated classes once the session has ended.

The spotlight shined brightest during the search for Mr. and Ms. sUgAlaw 2025, the grand highlight of the celebration. Candidates from different colleges graced the stage in their Encantadia-inspired costumes, bringing to life the magic, elegance, and creativity of the kasUbAy spirit.

After a dazzling display of wit, grace and creativity, the crowns were awarded to:
- Ms. sUgAlaw 2025 – College of Arts and Sciences (CAS)
- Mr. sUgAlaw 2025 – College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE)

It was truly a spectacular finale that embodied the strength, beauty, and unity of the University of Antique.

Meanwhile, student organizations’ booths are now open and accepting new members — giving students the chance to discover their passions, join activities, and take part in the thriving kasUbAy community.

𝐬𝐔𝐠𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐰 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐊𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐎𝐟𝐟 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐬, 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞

Part 1/2

The much-awaited sUgAlaw 2025 officially commenced with a vibrant celebration that united the University of Antique community in energy, culture, and school spirit.

The program opened with the solemn Flag Rituals, highlighted by the harmonious voices of the UA Chorale and selected students from the Bachelor of Special Needs Education (BSNED). Following this, the sUgAlaw proper began with Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., fondly known as the Father of the kasUbAy Colony, who gave a brief introduction and explanation of the term “kasUbAy”, setting the tone for the day’s festivities.

Adding more excitement, the University proudly introduced SANTI, the official mascot of the University of Antique, symbolizing the spirit of unity, resilience, and pride of every kasUbAy.

More than just a celebration, sUgAlaw 2025 also served as a grand welcome to all students, especially the freshmen, who were embraced into the vibrant kasUbAy community. The loud cheers, enthusiastic yells, and colorful performances reflected the warm spirit of camaraderie that awaits every new member of the UA family.

The air then filled with energy as cheers and yells echoed from the different colleges — College of Maritime Studies (CMS), College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), College of Management and Governance (CMG), and College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE).

The stage came alive with dynamic performances from the hUblAg BPED Icons and the UASG-FLP, who showcased their talents and filled the crowd with high spirits.

Truly, sUgAlaw 2025 has once again proven to be a showcase of talent, unity, and the indomitable kasUbAy spirit of the University of Antique.
