𝐔𝐀 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐂𝐘𝐀 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞

Delegates from the University of Antique Chorale participated in the 53rd NAMCYA Music Camp Series organized by the National Music Competitions for Young Artists (NAMCYA) held in Batac City on May 21–24, 2026.

Representing the university were Sumper Mongcado Jr., Krish Andrei Rona, Guil Einstroy Esmenos, and Prof. Shiena May V. Demafeliz, UA Chorale Conductor and BPED Music and Arts Education Instructor.

The music camp featured various focus areas, including Music Education, Strings, Rondalla, Traditional Music, and Choir, providing participants with valuable opportunities for artistic growth, collaboration, and mentorship alongside fellow young musicians from different institutions.

In accordance with Proclamation No. 1264 issued by the Office of the President of the Philippines, face-to-face classes and office operations across the University of Antique system are suspended tomorrow, May 27, 2026, in observance of Eid’l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice).

Please note, however, that the previously scheduled Career Sessions Part II for Graduating Students of the Main Campus shall proceed as scheduled.

Classes and office operations will resume on Thursday and Friday, May 28–29, 2026.

Dr. Godelyn S. Gallega-Hisole, President of the University of Antique (UA), convened her first official meeting with the University’s Executive Committee (ExeCom) today, May 25, 2026.

The ExeCom is composed of the University’s top management officials, executive directors, unit heads, campus directors, and deans from the various colleges across the UA System.

𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐈𝐒𝐀𝐓-𝐔 𝐭𝐨 𝐔𝐀: 𝐃𝐫. 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚-𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲

The Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U) community formally bid farewell to Dr. Godelyn S. Gallega-Hisole, former Dean of the College of Engineering, as she officially begins her leadership journey as President of the University of Antique (UA) today, May 25, 2026.

Dubbed “Bambuhay: UA’s Fresh Quest with Dr. Godelyn S. Gallega-Hisole,” the program was graced by Dr. Luis M. Sorolla, former President of the Western Visayas College of Science and Technology (now ISAT-U); Dr. Evan Daza, former student of Dr. Hisole and now a Dean at ISAT-U; and Dr. Corazon Corbal, Vice President for Academic Affairs of ISAT-U, who shared their messages and personal experiences with Dr. Hisole.

In her response, Dr. Hisole expressed her heartfelt gratitude to ISAT-U, headed by President Gabriel Salistre Jr., and to her colleagues, sharing that she would carry with her the experiences, camaraderie, and friendships she built throughout her years in the institution.

She also expressed her hope of maintaining close ties with the academe through future partnerships and collaborations, saying, “I also look forward to staying in touch with my beloved ISAT University, exploring future partnerships, and of course cheering on our achievements, though from afar, but my heart still goes to ISAT University.”

As she prepares to assume her new role, Dr. Hisole also recognized the efforts of the men and women of UA, led by Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., for laying down institutional initiatives and achieving milestones that continue to shape and strengthen the UA community today, while recognizing the shared vision of transforming the lives of students and employees in the academe.

𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐃𝐑𝐎𝟔 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐔𝐀, 𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐊𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐲 𝐋𝐄𝐏𝐓 𝐓𝐨𝐩𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬

Commission on Higher Education Regional Office VI (CHED RO6) confers four awards to the University of Antique during the 5th CHED Regional Quality Awards in celebration of the Commission's 32nd Anniversary and 6th Higher Education Day held at West Visayas State University in Iloilo City, May 21, 2026.

Among the awards conferred to UA are the Excellence in Gender and Development Implementation, Excellence in IP Education Implementation – Main Campus, Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Innovative Awards – Main Campus, and the Top HEIs on Internationalization Programs and Initiatives – Main Campus. These recognitions serve as a testament to the academe’s commitment and continuous efforts in providing quality education and services to its stakeholders, especially the students.

The CHED Regional Office also honored the Kasubay topnotchers of the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers, namely Salvacion Sison Sanquilos, Jireh Grace Pacheco Dela Peña, and Cyriel Jade Quizo Mendellore from the Main Campus, and Christine Faith Orbigoso Heraldo from the UA Tario-Lim Memorial Campus. Joining them during the recognition were Dr. Grace C. Pastolero, Dean of the College of Teacher Education; Dr. Aldrex A. Barrientos, Dean of the College of Teacher Education – UA TLMC; and Dr. Christpeter F. Omayana, Program Head of the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education program.

Dr. Godelyn S. Gallega-Hisole, UA President, together with Dr. Jelyn O. Alentajan, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovation; Dr. Catherine C. Viesca, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Runato A. Basañes, Executive Director, Student Affairs and Services Division; Dr. Jhetro Royce E. Espartero, Dean, College of Criminal Justice Education; Dr. Jayson N. Gillesania, Director, Student Welfare and Other Services Unit; Dr. Rowena Cabrillos, Director, Gender and Development Unit; Prof. Jenelyn Omadio, Director, International Affairs Unit; Mr. Risty Clent Aquito, Administrative Officer IV and Internal Relations Coordinator, and Dr. Barrientos received the awards on behalf of the entire university.
