𝐵𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑎𝑦 𝐿𝑎𝑔𝑑𝑜, 𝑆𝑖𝑏𝑎𝑙𝑜𝑚, 𝐴𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑞𝑢𝑒 | 𝐷𝑒𝑐𝑒𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑟 14, 2025

What a truly heartwarming Christmas morning filled with laughter, learning, and love, made especially for the bright smiles of the children of Barangay Lagdo. The day beautifully unfolded as we officially opened the program with inspiring opening remarks by UACS President, Daine Angelo P. Veñegas, setting the tone of service, unity, and genuine care for the community.

This was followed by a meaningful Drug Awareness Short Lecture, led by Jhasmin Segotier, Mark Lovel Bedona, and Aisha Ruiz, empowering our young beneficiaries with knowledge and guidance, because protecting the future starts with education. The atmosphere then came alive with exciting and fun-filled games, filling the barangay with cheers, laughter, and unforgettable joy shared by children and families alike. After the games, everyone gathered to enjoy a warm lunch prepared for all children and parents, reminding us that Christmas is best celebrated together.

The highlight of the day came with the Gift-Giving Activity—distribution of school supplies, toys, gifts, and spaghetti food packs for our selected impoverished children, followed by the awarding of winners from the morning games, sealing the day with proud smiles and grateful hearts.

The program concluded with heartfelt closing remarks by BKD-UA CCJE Chapter Adviser, Mrs. Sharon P. Cordero, leaving us reminded that service, when done with love, creates lasting impact.

Our deepest and sincerest thanks to our very active advisers, Mrs. Jcbelle C. Garcesa and Mrs. Mileouda C. Fortos; to Mrs. Sharon P. Cordero; to our very supportive CCJE Dean, Dr. Elden John D. Aurillo; to the unwavering and steadfast support of our University of Antique President, Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr.; and to Municipal Mayor Hon. Gian Carlo Occeña; Barangay Captain Hon. Rolly V. Condes and to all the dedicated teachers of Lagdo Elementary School.

Above all, duro-duro gid nga salamat sa tanan nga CCJE students, without you this outreach would not have been possible. Your collective generosity proved that small contributions, when united, create big smiles and real change.

This Noche Buena was not just about food and gifts—it was about 𝓹𝓪𝓰𝓹𝓪𝓵𝓪𝓷𝓰𝓰𝓪 𝓴𝓪𝓰 𝓴𝓪𝓵𝓲𝓹𝓪𝔂, shared freely, felt deeply, and remembered forever.

𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐘 — 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐆𝐘 𝐈𝐍 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍-𝐁𝐔𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆

The College of Criminal Justice Education of the University of Antique officially launched Crim Fest 2025 today, November 26, 2025. This celebration is held in observance of Proclamation No. 397, issued in 2023 by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., which declares the last week of November as “National Criminology Week.” The proclamation recognizes the crucial contributions of criminologists in upholding public safety, reinforcing the criminal justice system, and supporting the country’s long-term development. It further highlights the need to strengthen criminology education and professional ethics to ensure competent and principled practitioners in the field.

The event commenced at 8:30 AM, attended by criminology students, faculty members, and guests. Dr. Elden John D. Aurillo, Dean of CCJE, opened the program with a message reinforcing the importance of academic integrity and professional accountability. This was followed by the Welcome Message of Dr. Catherine C. Viesca while Mrs. Mileouda C. Fortos, MSCrim, Program Head of the BS Criminology Program, introduced the guest speaker.

The highlight of the program was the insightful lecture delivered by Atty. Elizabeth B. Abasquez-Felasol, Attorney IV of the UA Legal Unit sharing a meaningful reminder with the students: “Always go back to your core.” She explained that amid complex cases, pressures, and moral dilemmas, practitioners must return to their foundational values—choosing what is right even when it is difficult, rejecting unlawful orders, and refusing to be swayed by greed or wrongdoing. She emphasized that humility, discipline, and moral clarity are essential in ensuring that criminologists remain trustworthy guardians of justice.

She concluded with a powerful reflection those serving in the criminal justice system hold the capacity to influence and reshape lives, families, and communities. Therefore, their commitment to justice and integrity must be constant, deliberate, and deeply rooted in both personal and professional identity.
Crim Fest 2025 successfully reaffirmed the spirit behind Proclamation No. 397—that the criminology profession is vital to nation-building, and that its future practitioners must be molded not only in knowledge and skill but also in character and conscience.

The College of Criminal Justice System's UdyAk Kriminolohista event was a huge success! Our students showcased their skills and teamwork in various games, including Tug of War, Sack Race, Patintero, and Dodgeball, embodying the theme "JUSTICE AND INTEGRITY: THE CORE OF CRIMINOLOGY AND NATION-BUILDING".

The event, held on March 15, 2025, was a testament to the students' spirit of companionship and healthy competition. The games were fiercely contested, with participants giving their all to emerge victorious.

Kudos to our students for demonstrating team spirit and unity! We're proud of your commitment to upholding justice and integrity.

𝓟𝓐𝓖𝓟𝓐𝓝𝓤𝓜𝓟𝓐 2025: 𝙰𝙽𝙲𝙷𝙾𝚁𝙴𝙳 𝙸𝙽 𝙿𝚄𝚁𝙿𝙾𝚂𝙴, 𝙳𝚁𝙸𝚅𝙴𝙽 𝙱𝚈 𝚂𝙴𝚁𝚅𝙸𝙲𝙴

The University of Antique Criminology Society proudly took part in the official Induction Ceremony of student officers alongside various university organizations on October 24, 2025, held at the PaghiUsA Hall. The event served as a formal recognition of the roles and responsibilities entrusted to each officer within their respective clubs and organizations.

The program commenced with the ceremonial entrance of the student leaders, setting a tone of dignity and purpose. This was followed by a plenary session led by the Future Leaders of the Philippines (FLP), which highlighted the key duties of every leadership role. The program aimed to foster camaraderie and a shared sense of purpose among student leaders, emphasizing their role as part of a united community working toward common goals. It also provided an avenue for the official oath-taking of officers, empowering them to uphold the duties and responsibilities entrusted to their respective positions.

‎The event continued with inspiring messages from Dr. Runato A. Basañes, Executive Director of the SAS Division, and Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., University President. Prof. Wilma Fe S. Vego, Director of Student Organizations and Activities, also delivered a motivational address as the Guest Speaker.
The formal induction of student leaders from various organizations was led by Hon. Paolo S. Javier, Governor of the Province of Antique.

Overall, the ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter in leadership and service, where each officer pledged to lead with integrity, commitment, and collaboration. As they embark on this journey, may they continue to inspire their peers, uphold their organization’s ideals, and work collectively for the advancement of the entire university community.
