June 15, 2022 The AUP- COD family and community mourns for the passing of our dear Dr. Walter del Rosario.
Doc Wally, as he was fondly called by everyone, was a dedicated father, dentist, teacher and friend to all. He was with AUP COD for some years, teaching Current Trends and Forensic Dentistry, and of course, Clinical Dentistry.
Everyone would remember him driving around the campus in his beloved Jimny, which would be bursting at the seams with teachers and students alike. It was through his initiative that the Forensic Dentistry class, and the entire college were able to visit PNPA to hear first - hand forensic cases and enjoy the fancy drills of the cadets.
Dr. Wally was known for his voice, both in singing and in speaking. No surprise that he was a regular emcee for events, dental seminars and the like. Needless to say, no karaoke would be complete without us asking Dr. Wally to render a song or two or more.
Doc Wally, we will miss you! As one of the most photographed personalities in COD during his time, he had the most number of “stolen” shots, where he would just close his eyes for a minute and be off to dreamland right away.
He was ever the generous person, always willing to go the extra mile to help anyone, in any way he could. You could always count on his support in any activity: retreats, outings, dental missions, seminars, or his favorite “kape kape muna.” He opened his heart and home to everyone, be it here in the Philippines, Ethopia or in Indonesia. For all these, we are all so very grateful.
Thank you, Doc Wally, for the gift of life we found in you. We are better dentists, Christians, friends….because of you. Mission accomplished Doc. You were a blessing in our lives, cared for us like the father figure you are to many, and we hope we all make you proud. You will always be in our hearts forever.
Our prayers and deepest condolences to Dr. Wally's family.
