The Cavite State University Gender and Development Resource Center (CvSU GADRC) participated in the Training on Gender Analysis (GA) and the Collection and Utilization of Sex-Disaggregated Data (SDD) for R&D Programs and Projects organized by the Department of Science and Technology โ Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD). The said training was held at Citylights Hotel, Baguio City, from October 13 to 18, 2025.
The activity forms part of PCAARRDโs gender and development (GAD) capacity-building initiatives aimed at enhancing the competencies of researchers within its network in the integration of gender perspectives into research and development endeavors. It specifically focused on the application of gender analysis frameworks and tools, as well as the collection and utilization of sex-disaggregated data throughout the different phases of the project development cycle.
Cavite State University was represented by Dr. Ma. Cynthia Rundina-Dela Cruz, Director of the CvSU GADRC; Ms. Kate Angeline S. Hernando, Project Monitoring and Evaluation staff of GADRC; and Mr. Allan Evardo, GAD Coordinator (CvSU Naic Campus); Ms. Rosele Ymana, GAD Coordinator (CvSU Silang Campus) and Ms. Ma. Criselda Vertudez, GAD Alternate (CvSU Silang Campus).
Moreover, Mr. King David J. Agreda, President of CvSU MOVE KATROPA and a graduate of NGRP Batch 9, served as one of the resource speakers during the said training.
Through its active participation in this initiative, CvSU GADRC continues to uphold its commitment to advancing gender-responsive and evidence-based research and development programs, thereby contributing to the promotion of inclusive and equitable practices within the university and its partner institutions.
