Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) Campuses marked their commemoration of the Culture and the Arts Festival (CAF) 2023 to prepare for the fast-approaching Regional Competitions, held at Siniloan Campus, September 20.
Themed, โPag-usahon Para sa Sining: A Celebration of Multiculturalism,โ the Socio-Cultural Affairs-Siniloan hosted this yearโs CAF Intercampus and facilitated a parade to inaugurate the event.
In his opening remarks, Sports and Socio-Cultural Affairs Director Francis Jose Dela Cruz acknowledged the delegates from the four campuses as they are about to compete in a series of contests, "this festival is a showcase of the diverse, artistic expressions and traditions that bring us together as one big LSPU Family."
"This festival is a testament to the creativity and talent that resides within each of us and it is a platform to showcase your own artistic progress. We encourage you to emerge yourself in the festivities, engage with the artists, and embrace the cultural diversity that surrounds us," Dela Cruz added.
Socio-Cultural Affairs President, John Ross Nerona, recognized the talents of the LSPU students, "Nakakapagod ngunit masaya at talagang nailalabas ang talents and skills ng ating mga students sa LSPU kasi we know na we have so much more to offer kung talents lang din naman ang usapan."
The included competitions were Musical, Dance, Short and Sweet Play, Visual Arts, Festival King and Queen.
The winners will prepare for the next round in October in Occidental Mindoro.
