Bucas Grande Foundation College (BGFC) is an ever-dreamed educational institution in the lone island, “Bucas Grande”. The progressive institution is situated in a hilly, serene and scenic mountainside of Brgy. It is the first and only tertiary school operating in the municipality that offers various courses which includes degree and technical-vocational studies. The name of the school is honoured

to the name of the island itself. It was established on June 2003 through the unified and untiring efforts of the incorporators headed by the brilliant and generous, Hon. D. During a decade of existence, the college has continuously produced quality graduates making the College one of top performers in the Licensure of Examination for Teachers within Caraga Region. Graduates of BGFC are now working in public and private institutions in the localities and in the neighbouring areas of Bucas Grande Island. With the current development Of BGFC, including its instructional facilities, the College will continue to uphold its commitment to excellence and produce quality graduates in response to global education. Presently, BGFC has over fifty-five (55) hardworking Faculty and Staff who have been working hand-in-hand to fully deliver quality education and utmost service to our beloved Grandenians. This goal has been stated in the Mission and Vision of our beloved institution, to provide academic and operational excellence and A premier academic institution responsible for quality instruction and training for sustainable socio-economic, environmental, and cultural advancement of Bucas Grande and the global Philippines.

𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘇, 𝗥𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺 triumphs in the Licensure Examination for Criminologists, which he took in February 2026. Pursuant to Public Advisory No. 004, Series of 2026 issued by the Municipality of Socorro, Surigao del Norte due to Tropical Depression “Basyang,” Bucas Grande Foundation College will suspend face-to-face classes on February 5, 2026.

All classes will be conducted ONLINE on the said date. This applies to all students, teaching and non-teaching personnel, as well as all academic activities.
