Southern Leyte State University (SLSU), through the Global Engagement and Strategic Partnerships Office (GESPO), conducted a coordination meeting with partner institutions for the upcoming International Internship Bootcamp in Tasikmalaya, Indonesia.

The meeting was attended by Campus Directors, Deans, Department Heads, and OJT Coordinators from the SLSU Sogod, Tomas Oppus and San Juan Campuses, representing programs in Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Industrial Technology, Agriculture, and Tourism, together with officials from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) – Tasikmalaya Campus and the REDEF Regional Economic Development Foundation, Indonesia, to align program direction and ensure coordinated implementation.

Key discussions focused on the program framework, timelines, and necessary preparations for the 2027 internship, ensuring readiness and collaboration among participating institutions.

This initiative reflects SLSU’s commitment to building structured, collaborative, and impact-driven international programs that provide meaningful global learning opportunities for students.

𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗠𝗼𝗨 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗦𝗟𝗦𝗨 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗦𝗠𝗨𝗛 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀

Southern Leyte State University (SLSU), through the Global Engagement and Strategic Partnerships Office (GESPO), together with faculty from the Tomas Oppus and Sogod Campus Education programs, conducted an online coordination meeting with Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar (UNISMUH), Indonesia as part of the implementation of the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration in research and community engagement, particularly for Elementary Education programs of both universities.

A key highlight of the discussion is the upcoming visit of UNISMUH researchers to SLSU this August, where joint research activities and community engagement initiatives will be conducted—translating the partnership into concrete, impact-driven outcomes.

This initiative reflects SLSU’s commitment to building active international partnerships that go beyond agreements, contributing to meaningful academic and community development.
