In compliance with Memorandum Circular No. 114, s. 2026, andas outlined in OP Memorandum Order No. 67, Series of 2026, Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) continues to implement an alternative work arrangement with a four-day on-site work schedule and one-day Work-From-Home (WFH) arrangement, with designated energy conservation days falling on Mondays or Fridays, while declared holidays automatically serve as the energy conservation day for the week.

For April, please be guided by the following dates:
• April 2 (Thursday) – Maundy Thursday
• April 3 (Friday) – Good Friday
• April 9 (Thursday) – Araw ng Kagitingan
• April 17 (Friday) – Work-From-Home (Online Classes)
• April 20 (Monday) – Work-From-Home (Online Classes)

Clients and stakeholders are advised to plan their visits and transactions accordingly.

Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) – Main Campus successfully conducted its Online Orientation for Graduate Programs, welcoming new, returnee and continuing students for the academic year 2025-2026.
The day kicked off with an inspiring message from our VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Constantino G. Medilo, Jr., followed by introductions to key university officials and a rundown of important info — from academic policies to cashier, registrar, SAS, medical/dental, guidance, and library services.

Faculty members from the various graduate programs were introduced:
• PhD-TM: Dr. Adolfo C. Ancheta – Dean, FOT

• MAT & MTE: Dr. Josefina O. Carpentero – Dean, FTVE
• MSIT: Dr. Czarina Ancella G. Gabi – Dean, FCSIT
The event concluded with closing remarks from Mr. Mark Donald S. Oja, Director of Instruction. Mr. Danilo B. Vero, Jr., MTE student & AGS President served as the Master of Ceremony.
This orientation marks a proactive step by SLSU in ensuring its graduate students are well-informed and prepared for their academic journey.
