𝗥𝟮𝗧𝗠𝗖 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗰. 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹, 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗿, 𝗥𝟮𝗧𝗠𝗖 – 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. The 𝙍𝟮𝙏𝙈𝘾 welcomed the 2nd and 3rd Year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students of 𝘼𝙡𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙜𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙚 𝙄𝙣𝙘. (𝘼𝘾𝙄), 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙈𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙨 (𝙎𝙈𝙎), through a comprehensive clinical orientation designed to prepare them for their upcoming hospital exposure and Related Learning Experience (RLE).

The orientation formally opened with a warm welcome and overview from 𝙈𝙖. 𝙇𝙪𝙞𝙨𝙖 𝘿. 𝙂𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙯, 𝙍𝙉, 𝙈𝘼𝙉, Nurse VII and Chief Nurse of R2TMC, who encouraged the students to actively participate in their clinical learning and reminded them of an important principle in healthcare practice: “𝘈𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘢𝘴𝘬 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘥𝘰𝘶𝘣𝘵.”

The orientation proper was facilitated by 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙢𝙖 𝙑. 𝙏𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙤, 𝙍𝙉, 𝙍𝙈, 𝙈𝙎𝙉, 𝙈𝘼𝙉, 𝘾𝙉𝙈, Nurse VI and Nursing Training Officer of R2TMC. She introduced the hospital staff and organizatio, discussed the policies and guidelines for student affiliates, including 𝙙𝙪𝙩𝙮 𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙡𝙚, 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢, 𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙨, 𝙡𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨, and 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨.

Students were reminded of two important principles throughout their clinical training: “𝘘𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘕𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺.” and “𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘣𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶.” emphasizing the importance of professionalism, accountability, discipline, and commitment in providing safe and quality patient care throughout their clinical exposure.

The orientation also covered the hospital’s 𝙧𝙪𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨, 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙤𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙨, 𝙥𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙨, and 𝙜𝙪𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨 that students are expected to observe throughout their clinical exposure. A PowerPoint presentation further introduced the students to R2TMC, highlighting its services, departments, credentials, and other essential information about the healthcare facility.

Joining the students throughout the orientation were the Clinical Instructors of the School of Medical Sciences: 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙘 𝘼𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙮 𝙈. 𝙋𝙖𝙨𝙘𝙪𝙖, 𝙍𝙉 - 𝗥𝗟𝗘 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿; 𝘿𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙣𝙚 𝙅𝙚𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙣 𝘼. Through the orientation, the ACI BSN students gained a clearer understanding of their roles, responsibilities, and limitations as student nurses. More than preparing them for hospital duty, the activity served as a reminder that competence, discipline, and quality patient care must always go hand in hand.

𝐀𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 | 𝐀𝐂𝐈-𝐒𝐌𝐒 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

The 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐒𝐌𝐒) participated in the 𝐀𝐂𝐈 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 on August 26, 2026, with the theme “𝑨𝒏𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝑭𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑻𝒓𝒖𝒔𝒕,” led by the School Chaplain, Rev. Rodelyn R. Brazil, MDiv.

The convocation began with the Opening of the Bible and Candle, symbolizing the presence and guidance of God throughout the gathering. This was followed by a meaningful Praise and Worship, where SMS students actively joined in singing and dancing as they lifted their voices in praise to the Lord.

The Scripture Reading was taken from 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒃𝒔 3:5–6, reminding everyone to trust in the Lord wholeheartedly and acknowledge Him in all their ways.

Rev. Brazil then delivered a message of life centered on faith, trust, and keeping God at the center of every journey. She reminded the students, “𝘞𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘴 𝘶𝘴. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘣𝘪𝘨, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘪𝘯 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦… 𝘋𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘳, 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘵𝘺.” Her message encouraged everyone to pursue their dreams and strive for excellence while remaining firmly anchored in God.

The convocation concluded with the Closing Prayer and Benediction, followed by the closing of the Bible and candles. The gathering served as a meaningful reminder to the SMS community that no matter how far we go in pursuing our dreams and goals, our faith in God should remain our strongest foundation and anchor.

As part of their preparation for clinical exposure and community health nursing duties, 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝-𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐁𝐒𝐍) 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 from 𝐀𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐜. participated in a series of orientations conducted at their respective affiliating agencies. The orientations were held at 𝐍𝐮𝐞𝐯𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐳𝐜𝐚𝐲𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 (𝐍𝐕𝐏𝐇) on August 7, 2026, at the 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 (𝐋𝐆𝐔) 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐠 for Community Health Nursing on August 11, 2026, and at 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 on August 12, 2026. These activities provided students with the opportunity to become familiar with the healthcare institutions, community settings, policies, services, facilities, and professional expectations that will guide them throughout their clinical and community health nursing experiences.

The first orientation was held at 𝐍𝐮𝐞𝐯𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐳𝐜𝐚𝐲𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 (𝐍𝐕𝐏𝐇) on 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 7, 2026. The program began with an opening prayer led by Ms. Alyza Marey G. Uy Lim, a BSN 2 student. This was followed by a discussion on 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 (𝐈𝐏𝐂) facilitated by 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐑. 𝐍𝐢𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐬, 𝐑𝐍, 𝐌𝐀𝐍, IPC Nurse Supervisor. The orientation proper was then conducted by 𝐀𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐓. 𝐑𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬, 𝐑𝐍, 𝐌𝐀𝐍, Assistant Chief Nurse of NVPH, who presented the hospital’s history, mission and vision, services, facilities, policies, and organizational structure. To conclude the activity, 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐦𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐳, 𝐑𝐍, 𝐌𝐀𝐍, Supervising Nurse, guided the students on a 𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐫, allowing them to become familiar with the institution’s various units and departments.

On 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 11, 2026, the BSN 2 students also attended the 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 at the 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 (𝐋𝐆𝐔) 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐠. The program began with opening remarks delivered by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐉𝐢𝐫𝐨 𝐋. 𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐫𝐚, Assistant Municipal Health Officer. This was followed by an orientation led by 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐨, 𝐑𝐍, who briefed the students on what to expect during their 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐝𝐮𝐭𝐲, including the possible cases and health concerns they may encounter in the field. The session further aimed to prepare the students for their upcoming community exposure and equip them with a better understanding of their roles and responsibilities.

Meanwhile, on 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 12, 2026, the students participated in their final orientation at 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫. The program began with an invocation presented through an audiovisual presentation, followed by the welcome remarks of 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐑. 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧, 𝐑𝐍, 𝐌𝐒𝐍, Nursing Director of SMC. In her remarks, she emphasized the importance of the orientation and reminded the students that the theories and knowledge they had learned in school would now be applied to actual patients.

The orientation proper was then delivered by 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐀. 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐮, 𝐑𝐍, Training Officer and Infection Control Nurse. She presented the hospital’s mission, vision, core values, 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, and organizational structure. To conclude the orientation, 𝐆𝐚𝐲 𝐁. 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐭, 𝐑𝐍, Nurse Supervisor (DIPS/DINCS), and Ms. Lanu guided the students on a tour of the hospital, introducing them to the different units and departments and showing them the areas where they would be stationed during their duty.

The activities were supervised by the 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬: 𝐑𝐋𝐄 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐚; 𝐑𝐍 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝-𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐆𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐨𝐥𝐨 𝐌. 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐢, 𝐑𝐍 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐈𝐚𝐧 𝐏. 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬, 𝐑𝐍, 𝐑𝐌, 𝐌𝐀𝐍, 𝐌𝐒𝐍, 𝐌𝐒𝐏𝐇; and 𝐒𝐀𝐒 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐦𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐋. 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐬, 𝐑𝐍.

The series of orientations marked an important milestone in the students’ journey toward becoming competent and compassionate healthcare professionals. As they prepare to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world settings, these experiences serve as a foundation for meaningful learning, growth, and service.

𝐒𝐌𝐒 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐀𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝: 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝!

Anchored on a call for responsibility beyond oneself, the two-day 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 began on 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟰 – 𝟮𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 8:00am-12:00noon as students learned about the school’s policies, services, and significant guidelines for the academic year.

In her speech, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗣. 𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗺𝗶𝗻, 𝗠𝗘𝗣-𝗖𝗘,𝗠𝗕𝗔 the program's resource speaker advised the students to think not only about themselves but also the effect of their actions on others and their environment in the campus. "𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙜𝙤 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙪𝙨, 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙖 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙨 𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡. 𝘿𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙩 𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙖𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙩 𝙨𝙖 𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙜𝙖 𝙣𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙠𝙞𝙩𝙖." Reminding students to be responsible not only for themselves but also to the community that they are part of.

Orientation talks from various college departments and officials included financial policies, academic awards, school rules and regulations, library services, student affairs, health services, SIAS, and Managed WiFi.

Apart from getting familiar with the guidelines, the students were also introduced to the college offices, school employees whom they can seek help in case of uncertainties.

Far beyond a standard run-through of school rules, the orientation kicked off the new academic year with a clear message:

𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝟐&𝟑 | 𝟒𝐭𝐡-𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐁𝐋𝐒 & 𝐀𝐂𝐋𝐒 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩

The 4th-year nursing students of the School of Medical Sciences successfully completed their 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 (𝗕𝗟𝗦) 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗰 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 (𝗔𝗖𝗟𝗦) 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽, gaining important knowledge and skills in responding to emergency situations. The training lasted for three days from 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟭-𝟭𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 held at the 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼-𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝟭 of the College.

The training covered five important areas: 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 (𝗕𝗟𝗦), 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗰 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 (𝗔𝗖𝗟𝗦), 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝘆, 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝗖𝗚 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗵𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗺𝗶𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. The students learned how to recognize cardiac emergencies, read basic ECG rhythms, manage airways, and provide appropriate interventions during critical situations.

The ACLS sessions also covered the Chain of Survival, ACLS algorithms, systematic assessment, and proper management of cardiac emergencies. Through lectures and return demonstrations, including the 𝗠𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗲, the students were able to practice their skills, improve teamwork, and learn how to respond quickly and properly during emergencies.

This training is very important as the students prepare for Critical Care Nursing, where knowledge, skills, teamwork, and quick decision-making are needed. Beyond the technical knowledge and skills gained, Mr. Eldrine Domingo, one of the trainers reminded them to stay focused on their studies and continue working hard to reach their goal of becoming competent Registered Nurses, as he said, “𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒔𝒊𝒌𝒂𝒑 𝒌𝒂𝒚𝒐, 𝒑𝒂𝒈𝒃𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒉𝒊𝒏 𝒏𝒊𝒚𝒐.”

The Dean of the School of Medical Sciences department, 𝑴𝒔. 𝑳𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒂 𝑫. 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒐, 𝑹𝑵, 𝑴𝑨𝑵, extended her words of gratitude to the dedicated trainers who guided the students throughout the training period. The team was composed of 𝑴𝒓. 𝑬𝒍𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑫𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒐 𝑴𝒂𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒆𝒈, 𝑹𝑵, 𝑴𝑨𝑵𝒄, Team Leader and Vice President of the Community Auxiliary in Response for Emergency (CARE) Inc.; ANSAP National Trainer and ASHI Instructor for BLS and ACLS; 𝑴𝒔. 𝑬𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒂 𝑨𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒔-𝑺𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒐𝒔, 𝑩𝑺𝑵, 𝑴𝑯𝑨𝒄; 𝑴𝒓. 𝑳𝒆𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒐 𝑬𝒅𝒓𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒏; 𝑴𝒓. 𝑷𝒆𝒆𝑱𝒂𝒚 𝑨𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒔; 𝑴𝒔. 𝑨𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒍𝒂 𝑨𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒔; 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒓. 𝑹𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒚 𝑩𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒔. The students likewise expressed their gratitude to the team for sharing their knowledge, skills, and experience and for preparing the students to become more confident and capable future nurses. Certificates of Appreciation from the College were awarded to the team as a token of gratitude for sharing their expertise.

The department also recognized the effort of the Clinical Instructors who stayed with and supported the students until the completion of the training.
