Aldersgate College Inc. Human Resource Development Center, in collaboration with the Aldersgate College Employees Association, triumphantly honored the brilliance and leadership of women at Aldersgate College during the Women’s Day Celebration on March 19, 2026, at the ICDC Patio. The event carried the theme, “We for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society: Lead Like the Babaylans, Filipinas!”
The program began with an invocation led by Rev. Arvie P. Estabillo, College Chaplain, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, the AC Hymn, and the Vizcaya Hymn, rendered by the ACI Chorus. The atmosphere was filled with pride and unity as the celebration officially opened.
A warm welcome message was delivered by Dr. Marissa J. Taguinod, Vice President for Academic Affairs, emphasizing the importance of empowering women and promoting inclusivity within the academic community. The audience was then entertained by an intermission number from Mr. Frely D. Alagano, showcasing his talent and adding vibrance to the program.
Ms. Desirae Amor Kisses T. Abenoja gracefully introduced the guest speaker, setting the tone for an inspiring talk. The highlight of the event was the message delivered by Ms. Maybelle Blossom A. Dumlao-Sevillena, a dedicated public servant known for her commitment to community development, women’s empowerment, and inclusive leadership. With her background in public administration and experience in local governance, she shared meaningful insights on gender equality, leadership, and the vital role of women in shaping society.
The program continued with the awarding of a certificate and a token of appreciation to the guest speaker, followed by the distribution of tokens to the women employees of Aldersgate College Inc., recognizing their invaluable contributions and dedication.
To conclude the celebration, various performances from different offices and departments were presented, showcasing creativity, unity, and the spirit of empowerment within the Aldersgate community.
This meaningful celebration served as a reminder of the strength, resilience, and significance of women in building a more inclusive and equitable society.
