For students preparing to compete, knowing that their university stands behind them can make a difference. SUC President III Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus showed her support for the SorSU Marching Band and Majorettes and ROTC contingent during their last rehearsal on September 16, 2026, at the Sorsogon Sports Arena.

The contingent is set to compete in the 16th Bicol Regional Military Parade Competition at Plaza Quezon, Naga City, Camarines Sur, on September 18, 2026. President De Jesus visited the group to thank them for their dedication and to motivate them as they complete their preparations.

She reminded them to be proud of their efforts and of representing Sorsogon State University (SorSU) in the competition. She also wished the contingent success and prayed for their safe participation. (SorSU PIO)

The ๐’๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ ๐จ๐ง ๐’๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐‚๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐‚๐š๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐‘๐Ž๐“๐‚ ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ญ successfully conducted its 4๐ญ๐ก ๐“๐ซ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ƒ๐š๐ฒ for Academic Year 2026โ€“2027, continuing the journey toward becoming disciplined, knowledgeable, and responsible future leaders.

The training day commenced at the SorSU City Campus Amphitheatre with the cadetsโ€™ ๐–ฟ๐—ˆ๐—‹๐—†๐–บ๐—๐—‚๐—ˆ๐—‡, followed by attendance checking and instruction in ๐–ป๐–บ๐—Œ๐—‚๐–ผ ๐—†๐—‚๐—…๐—‚๐—๐–บ๐—‹๐—’ ๐–ฝ๐—‹๐—‚๐—…๐—…๐—Œ. Under the guidance of the Advanced Cadet Officers, the cadets practiced proper movements while developing their coordination, discipline, and military bearing.

Following the practical training, the cadets proceeded to the ๐–ฒ๐—ˆ๐–ผ๐—‚๐–บ๐—… ๐–ง๐–บ๐—…๐—… for an enlightening lecture conducted by ๐—ฆ๐—ด๐˜ ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐—š ๐——๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐—น๐—น๐—ผ (๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐˜€) ๐—ฃ๐—” on the ๐‘๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ž๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐‹๐š๐ฐ. The lecture emphasized the importance of knowing and respecting the law, understanding one's responsibilities, and exercising discipline and accountability in every aspect of life. It reminded the cadets that true leadership is built not only through physical training but also through knowledge, integrity, and responsible actions.
