Ipinroklama ngayong araw, ika-9 ng Oktubre, ang mga bagong opisyal ng Technology Student Council (TSC) mula sa SYNCH Party matapos nitong manguna sa halalan noong nakaraang Martes.

Ayon kay Quiñones, bagong halal na pangulo ng TSC, bagaman wala silang katunggali sa halalan, hindi nito binabawasan ang kanilang pananagutan bilang lider. Sa halip, nakikita niya itong mas malaking hamon upang patunayan sa pamamagitan ng pagkilos ang tiwalang ibinigay sa kanila ng mga botante.

“Kahit walang kalaban, hindi ibig sabihin na wala na akong kailangang patunayan. Sa totoo lang, mas malaki ang responsibilidad dahil wala kaming kalaban,” ani Quiñones.

Sinabi rin ng bagong pangulo na bibigyang-prayoridad ng kaniyang pamunuan ang komunikasyon at paggalang sa pakikitungo sa mga mag-aaral. Aniya, hindi niya gagamitin ang kaniyang posisyon upang mangako lamang o magpasikat, kundi upang lumapit sa mga estudyante, pakinggan ang kanilang mga hinaing, at isalin sa aktuwal na programa ang mga napagkasunduang ideya.

“Hindi ko kailangang maging paborito ng lahat, ngunit handa akong gampanan ang responsibilidad bilang lider na makikinig sa mga estudyante, uunawa sa kanilang mga alalahanin, makikipag-ugnayan sa ibang organisasyon, at kikilos para sa kanila,” pahayag niya.

Bilang pangunahing organisasyon ng CoT, kinakatawan ng TSC ang pinakamalaking populasyon ng mga mag-aaral sa SorSU. Dahil dito, sinabi ni Quiñones na mahalagang mapag-isa ang mga mag-aaral sa kabila ng pagkakaiba-iba ng kanilang opinyon at personalidad.

Nanguna si Quiñones sa mga ipinroklamang opisyal matapos makakuha ng 1,309 boto. Matatandaang tumakbo ang buong kandidatura sa ilalim ng SYNCH Party—ang nag-iisang partidong nagsumite ng kompletong slate sa halalan, dala ang panawagang “One Technology, One Voice, Moving Together.”

Bukod kay Quiñones, naihalal din ang kaniyang mga kapartido bilang bagong opisyal ng TSC, kabilang dito sina:
