Love was not whispered that day, it was felt.
Last February 13, 2026, the Supreme Student Council, together with the recognized student organizations, turned Sorsogon State University โ Magallanes Campus into a space where smiles can be seen, letters confessed, songs were sung from the heart, and stories of love from Sorsueรฑos, both joyful and painful, were shared.
With the theme โSaya ng Pagsasama, sa Pamantasang may Puso Madarama,โ Kampuso Valentineโs Day 2026 showed everyone that Valentineโs Day is not only about couples, it is about care in the community.
The mini-program opened with meaningful messages highlighting that caring for one another strengthens not just romantic relationships but also mental and emotional well-being, aligning with the advocacy for mental health awareness. From the yearning performances by Emerson B. Layon, heartfelt songs by Rachelle Hina, and Kenneth Talaguit, to the moving literary pieces of Andrea Madara and Smith Lopera, the stage became a place where love, pain, and care were there.
A battle between BEEd and BSEd-Sci in Cinematic Charades filled the auditorium with drama, with BEEd emerging victorious. The Master of Ceremony called on couples from the audience also to share on how they met, along with Bouquet and gifts being given.
And perhaps one of the highlights of the day was the Jar of Affirmation, short notes given to students to inspire, uplift, and remind them that they are valued. A simple gesture, yet powerful enough to make someoneโs day lighter.
The celebration continued through the SorSinta and SorSiyos Unity Booth Fair, where students roamed around the campus, supported organizations, sung with one and another, exchanged messages, and created memories together, proving that love is also found in friendship, teamwork, and belonging.
This celebration would not have been possible without the support of the Campus Director, Prof. Lynn C. Mendoza, whose constant encouragement of student initiatives continues to empower every Sorsueรฑos. Special thanks are hereby extended for always standing with the students and for believing in the student body.
Because at the end of the day, Valentineโs is not about grand gestures, it is about choosing to care.
โIn a world where you can be anything, be someone who makes others feel seen, valued, and loved.โ
