The Surigao del Norte State University Main Campus ROTC Unit, under the continuous and dedicated guidance of Lt. Col. Romel C. De La Cruz PA (Res), Commandant, successfully conducted its 7th training day on October 10, 2026 at the SNSU Main Campus. The formation commenced with a thorough checking of attendance to ensure the full presence and readiness of all participating cadets. Immediately afterward, the cadets prepared themselves for the scheduled activities of the day. Not long after, the Advance Officers conducted a comprehensive quiz covering the past lectures. The quiz was efficiently led by Cdt. Maj. Rey Senuel U. Besinga (ROTC) 1CL, Brigade S3, and Cadette Maj. Alexa Audrey T. Edradan (ROTC) 1CL, Brigade S7, who ensured that the evaluation effectively measured the cadets’ retention and understanding of previous lessons

Following the quiz, a short yet highly meaningful lecture on the topic of β€œFollowership” was delivered by Sgt. Loila Jane C. Balontong PA (Res). During the discussion, Sgt. Balontong clearly expounded on the true concept and value of followership in the military. She emphasized how good followership strengthens leadership, enhances discipline, builds cohesion, and fosters character among soldiers and cadets. The lecture served as an excellent reminder that good followers are just as essential as good leaders.

After the discussion, the cadets proceeded to practice basic drills while the military stakes focused on their lecture to further improve their comprehensive knowledge and skills. With the unfailing support and excellent cooperation of the Advance ROTC Officers, Graduate Military Assistants, and UDRRM Responders on duty, the entire activity was successfully and smoothly conducted from start to finish. Under the watchful eyes of the officers, the cadets once again demonstrated excellence, discipline, and unityβ€”bringing pride and honor to the Surigao del Norte State University Main Campus ROTC Unit and reinforcing their utmost sense of duty for excellence and service.

The Surigao del Norte State University Main Campus ROTC Unit, under the continuous guidance of Lt. Col. Romel C. De La Cruz PA (Res), Commandant, successfully conducted its 6th training day. The formation started with the checking of attendance. It was immediately followed by a comprehensive lecture on Core Values by Sgt. Irene Mae D. Flores PA (Res).

During the discussion, Sgt. Flores talked about the importance and meaning of the core values. She explained how they affect the behavior, discipline, and qualities that are expected of all soldiers and cadets. After the lecture, the cadets practiced basic drills to develop proficiency in movements and commands. At the same time, the military stakes were performed, which allowed the cadets to concentrate on their own performance and improve their skills.

Before the formation was dismissed, Sgt. Argie T. Tolibas PA (Res) shared a brief yet meaningful message on the purpose of commands and the importance of their correct ex*****on. With the dedicated support of the Advance ROTC Officers, Graduate Military Assistants, and the on-duty UDRRM Responders, the entire activity was completed smoothly and efficiently. Through their disciplined participation, the cadets once again upheld the high standards of the unit and brought pride to the Surigao del Norte State University Main Campus, reaffirming their strong commitment to excellence, service, and institutional pride.

Under the continuous guidance of Lt. Col. Romel C. De La Cruz PA (Res), Commandant, the Surigao del Norte State University Main Campus ROTC Unit successfully conducted its 5th training day. The formation started with the checking of attendance, followed by a comprehensive lecture on β€œMilitary Customs and Traditions” delivered by Cdt. Maj. Alexa Audrey T. Edradan (ROTC) 1CL.

She was able to discuss thoroughly the basics, principles, and etiquette of the army as well as related customs and courtesies, respects to rank and position and age-old traditions and ceremonies, and the discipline expected of every soldier. She gave ample examples and explanations to show how each contributes to order, unity, and the spirit of the soldiers. The cadets were able to practice what they have learned immediately after the lecture while the military stakes were being conducted. Each cadet worked on their own and applied what they learned during the lecture.

Because of the help provided by the Advance ROTC Officers, Graduate Military Assistants, and the UDRRM Responders, the conduct of the formation was a great success. With the support of these people, the cadets maintained the standard of excellence and brought glory to the Surigao del Norte State University Main Campus. Again, they showed their pride and professionalism by doing the task expected of them excellently.
