On May 25, 2026, Surigao del Norte State University successfully conducted the Graduating Studentsโ General Assembly for Academic Year 2025โ2026 in preparation for the upcoming Commencement Exercises 2026. The assembly was held in two separate sessions to accommodate graduating students across all campuses, with the City Campus convening at the SNSU Gymnasium at 1:00 PM and the Claver, Del Carmen, Mainit, and Malimono Campuses joining virtually via Zoom at 6:00 PM.
Present during the assembly was Dr. Ronita E. Talingting, Vice President for Academic Affairs, who provided guidance and important updates regarding the Universityโs graduation preparations. The meeting was presided over by the University Student Council, headed by USC President and Student Regent, Hon. Angelo Rodriguez, who facilitated the discussions and encouraged active participation among the graduating students.
The assembly served as a venue for discussing significant matters concerning the graduating class, including the Election of the Graduating Student Council Executive Officers and Officials, Graduation Schedule, Yearbook and Graduation Pictorial Schedule and Guidelines, Selection of the Batch Name, Batch Project, Theme Song, and Batch Solidarity Dance. These agenda items aimed to ensure that the graduating class remains informed, represented, and actively involved in decisions that will shape their graduation experience.
As the University moves closer to the Commencement Exercises, the assembly underscored the importance of leadership, collaboration, and collective responsibility among members of the graduating class. Through meaningful participation and shared commitment, the Class of 2026 continues to build a legacy of excellence, unity, and service as they prepare to transition from students to proud alumni of Surigao del Norte State University.
