𝐒𝐍𝐒𝐔 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐒𝐖𝐃 𝟒𝐏𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫-𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬

Surigao del Norte State University (SNSU), through its Gender and Development (GAD) Office and Internationalization and Linkages Office (ILO), successfully conducted a Virtual Exploratory Meeting with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) via an online platform to explore collaborative efforts and strengthen gender-responsive and inclusive programs for the community.

👩‍💼 The meeting was facilitated by Engr. Gracechell M. Pascua, Director of the Gender and Development Office, and was attended by:
Dr. Louella S. Degamon, Director for Internationalization and Linkages
Ms. Irish A. Oxtero, Assistant Director for Internationalization and Linkages

🤝 Representing DSWD 4Ps was Ms. Peale Harriet M. Patrocenio, City Link Officer.

💡 During the discussion, both institutions presented their respective programs and identified possible areas of convergence, focusing on advocacy initiatives, capacity-building activities, and community-based interventions that promote gender equality and social protection.

📋 To ensure effective coordination and implementation of future initiatives, SNSU and DSWD 4Ps agreed to strengthen communication and establish joint activities that will benefit partner communities and stakeholders.

✨ This collaboration underscores SNSU’s continued commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships, advancing gender and development advocacy, and delivering responsive extension services for inclusive and sustainable development.

Surigao del Norte State University

Following recent seismic activities and safety advisories from local authorities, SNSU City Campus will implement an adjusted schedule for Midterm Examinations and blended learning from October 20 to 25, 2025.

City Campus Schedule:
• October 20: Blended learning for all colleges
• October 21–22: Face-to-face midterm exams for COE and CTE; blended learning for CBT, CAS, and CCIS
• October 23–24: Face-to-face midterm exams for CBT, CAS, and CCIS; blended learning for COE and CTE
• October 20–25: Face-to-face classes and midterm exams for TCC
• October 25: Face-to-face classes and midterm exams for Graduate School

All faculty members, Guest lecturers, and all non-teaching personnel are required to report on-site. Students are only allowed on campus if they have scheduled classes or exams.

𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻, 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁, 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗼, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿 will follow their original schedules unless advised otherwise by their local municipalities.

However,𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 (permanent faculty and guest lecturers) and 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 (permanent, COS, Job Order) are 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝘂𝘁𝘆 during regular office hours to continue providing essential academic and administrative services.

This decision has been made in response to the recent incidents affecting the entire Province of Surigao del Norte and in compliance with the local government advisories, emphasizing the institution’s steadfast commitment to safeguarding the well-being of its students while ensuring the continuity of learning and service.

The University hereby underscores that the general welfare of its entire academic community remains the utmost priority. All personnel concerned are enjoined to exercise vigilance and cooperate in the implementation of these directives.
