Dr. Rowena A. Plando has been unanimously reappointed as State University (SUC) President III of Surigao del Norte State University by the Board of Regents through Board Resoution No. 74, s. 2026, effective August 10, 2026.

The reappointment was officially confirmed during the Special Meeting of the Governing Board help at the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Central Office in Quezon City.

(VMCJPI). With over fifteen (15) of its member Higher Education Institutions across Visayas and Mindanao, the competition lasted two weeks from June 26, 2026, until July 10, 2026 (today).

Behind the trophy is ๐‘ฌ๐’๐’ˆ๐’“. ๐‘ด๐’‚๐’“๐’‹๐’–๐’ ๐‘ช. ๐‘จ๐’๐’—๐’‚๐’“๐’‚๐’…๐’, ๐‘ด๐‘บ๐’„, a faculty member of the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in SNSU Mainit Campus who astutely wrote and presented his research paper entitled "Nanocellulose-Based Food Packaging for the Circular Economy: A Bibliometric Analysis of Research Progress, Knowledge Structure, and Future Directions" which โ€œanalyzed 1,709 Scopus-indexed publications (2008โ€“2025) to map the global development of nanocellulose-based food packaging research.โ€ From the findings, the paper aims to yield insights for bolstering sustainable and circular bio-based packaging technologies. This asserted Engr. Alvaradoโ€™s championship title at the competition.
