𝐄𝐧𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬:

3. If qualified, proceed to enrollment.

6. Only those who took and passed the admission test will be accepted.

Board course passers may enroll in either Board or Non-Board courses, while Non-Board course passers are only permitted to enroll in Non-Board courses.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡 🌊

Did you know that for every two breaths you take, one of them likely comes entirely from the ocean?

While we often give all the credit to our amazing forests, it is actually the microscopic world of the deep blue that does the heavy lifting. Specifically, marine organisms like 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘁𝗼𝗻—including the 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙝𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙤𝙘𝙘𝙪𝙨 pictured here—are the silent champions of our atmosphere. Through photosynthesis, these tiny powerhouses produce an estimated 50% to 80% of the oxygen on Earth.

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙫𝙨. 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙪𝙡𝙨𝙚
We often call the Amazon the lungs of the planet, but scientifically, the ocean acts as its true life support system. While land plants are vital for local ecosystems and carbon storage, the sheer scale of the ocean surface area allows it to outpace terrestrial forests in oxygen output.

"At least half of Earth's oxygen comes from the ocean. Scientists estimate that 50 to 80 percent of the oxygen production on Earth comes from the ocean. The majority of this production is from oceanic plankton—drifting plants, algae, and some bacteria that can photosynthesize."

Research Skills Workout organized by the 𝐊𝐒𝐔–𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲

𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝟮 successfully concluded our two-day program with a strong focus on practical research skills and data handling.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Ma'am 𝐌𝐈𝐊𝐀 𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐀 𝐃𝐔𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐘𝐀𝐎, Statistician, for delivering Lecture III: Data Analysis using MS Excel, where participants learned how to install the Data Analysis Tool, analyze data, and interpret results using statistical tools. This was followed by a hands-on workshop that allowed participants to apply what they learned in real time.

The program ended on a high note with the awarding of certificates and closing remarks led by Ma'am 𝐋𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐀. 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐨, BS-Biology Chairperson , marking the successful completion of the Building the Foundation: Research Skills Workshop.

Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this initiative. Together, we continue to build confident, competent, and responsible researchers.

Research Skills Workout organized by the 𝑲𝑺𝑼–𝑩𝒊𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒕𝒚

𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝟭 marked a strong start to our two-day research journey, featuring registration, opening prayer, welcome remarks, and inspiring messages that set the tone for learning. We are sincerely grateful to 𝐌𝐄𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐄 𝐒. 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐔𝐄𝐋, MST, Registered Chemical Technician, for leading Lecture I: Technical Research, which focused on the effective writing of research titles and SMART Objectives, as well as practical guidance on writing the Introduction, Review of Related Literature, Methodology, Results and Discussion, and Conclusion.
The day concluded with Lecture II: Responsible Use of Relevant Artificial Intelligence in Research, highlighting ethical and meaningful integration of AI in academic work.

As we wrap up Day 1, we look forward to Day 2 tomorrow, which will focus on Lecture III: Data Analysis using MS Excel, including installing data analysis tools, analyzing data, and interpreting results with statistical tools, followed by a workshop, awarding of certificates, and closing remarks.

Thank you to our speakers, facilitators, and participants for making this program a meaningful step toward building a solid foundation in research.

Inside your cells, kinesin motor proteins tirelessly transport essential materials to maintain life and cellular balance. This microscopic process is vital for your body’s proper function and overall well-being.

In the same way, spending time with your barkada plays a significant role in emotional health. Social interactions help reduce stress and stimulate the release of happiness hormones such as dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin.

So remember, if you’re feeling down, think about your kinesin tirelessly working inside you and your barkada always there for you. Both are doing their part to keep you healthy, balanced, and happy from the tiniest level to your biggest smiles. 💫😁

Many believe that stress or spicy food causes ulcers — but that’s actually a myth! 😯

The real cause of most ulcers is a bacterial infection called 𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘺𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘪 (𝘏. 𝘱𝘺𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘪). This bacteria damages your stomach’s protective lining, allowing acid to create painful sores.

✅ Remember:
• Ulcers aren’t caused by skipping meals or using your phone.
• They can be treated — especially when diagnosed early.
• If you often have stomach pain, heartburn, or bloating, get checked by a doctor.
