Kalinga State University (KSU) has been recognized by the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology–Cordillera Administrative Region (BJMP-CAR) with a Plaque of Merit for its continuing support in providing educational opportunities to qualified Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) students.

The recognition was conferred during the 35th BJMP-CAR Regional Anniversary Celebration on August 24, 2026, at the Camp John Hay Trade and Cultural Center in Baguio City, with Atty. William Puday, Executive Assistant III, receiving the award.

The plaque cites KSU for its “steadfast commitment and unwavering support” in providing transformative educational opportunities to qualified PDL students throughout the region, particularly in promoting their welfare, personal growth, and successful reintegration into society.
