The UP Tacloban Volleyball Club proudly congratulates our seniors as they graduate today and finally wear their sablay.

From being neophytes in both college and on the court, you have grown into bold individuals equipped with the skills and resilience to face even bigger matches ahead.

Thank you for standing strong, resisting fiercely, and showing unwavering courage. Your love for volleyball has not only transformed you as individuals but has also helped ignite the volleyball scene in the university. Despite the constraints and struggles you faced, your passion for the sport never wavered—you fought until the very end. May the love we've shared and the memories we've created continue to fuel you as you step onto the court and into the next chapter of life.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐬.

In the women’s division, Kagaris set the pace, securing a 40–31 win over Bidhaya, with Bea Baldon leading the charge. Mayari claimed victory over FAUP via default, while Poseidon’s guidance prevailed as Kagaris was once again declared the winner over Sarigan, also via default.

In the men’s division, Sarigan dominated the court with a 40–15, sweep-style performance against Mayari, powered by Player of the Game Luel Sabarre’s fiery serves and attack. Meanwhile, FAUP took charge in a 40–28 win over Bidhaya, with Christian Octaviano delivering powerful serves and spikes, silencing the rage of Ares' children.

The battleground intensifies as teams shake up their respective brackets. Do not miss their roars—witness the action today from 12:00 to 5:00 PM.

𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡-𝐮𝐩𝐬!

Bidhaya men shattered Bahandi men’s hopes in a blazing opener, dominating the battle—John Rey Sabalberino led the charge with sneaky attacks. Similarly, Mayari men snatched the game by piercing through Kagaris’ supposedly formidable defense—Alvin Remandaban broke through the shield of Poseidon’s sons.

In the women’s division, Mayari unleashed Apollo’s strength, launching relentless attacks against Bahandi—Lois Bayadog pulled the strings as she masterfully silenced Demeter’s children.

The battle for honor and glory is growing fiercer. Catch the next confrontations this afternoon starting at 2 PM at the SL Volleyball Court.

Children of Olympus: Charge and Dominate!

The gods of Olympus take pride in their children, creating a safe ground where they can sharpen their skills, courage, and power. Each demigod possesses gifts from their parent’s dominion—and inherits the pressure to rise and live up to their legacy.

The different cabins of demigods will gather in the grand arena of the volleyball court to showcase their grit, brave the challenges, and claim the title of the strongest seedlings, backed by the steadiest god.

The cabins are ready to relive the rich nostalgia of Greek history and bring triumph to their respective batches. Do not miss this legendary battle for bragging rights at the DM Volleyball Court on March 25–26, 2026.

ACQUIT FRENCHIE MAE AND MARIELLE!

Nakikiisa ang UP Tacloban Volleyball Club sa panawagan na ibasura ang mga kaso laban kina Frenchie Mae Cumpio at Marielle “Maye” Domequil.

Anim na taon na ang nagdaan mula nang ilegal na ikulong sina Frenchie Mae at Maye dahil sa gawa-gawang kasong ipinatong sa kanila. Dahil lamang sa diwa na kanilang ipinakita sa labas ng silid-aralin, binigyan sila ng kung ano-anong sakdal na siyang dahilan ng kanilang hindi alinsunod sa batas na pagkakakulong.

Silang dalawa ang konkretong patunay na sinusupil ng estado ang mga estudyanteng matapang na isinisiwalat ang bulok na sistema na mayroon ang Pilipinas. Imbes na gawan ng solusyon ang mga isyung panlipunan na kanilang ipinaglalaban, sila ay tinanggalan ng boses at karapatan.

Ito na ang panahon na hinihintay natin, ang palakasin ang boses para ipaglaban ang hustisya para kina Frenchie Mae at Maye. Ang UP Tacloban Volleyball Club ay nakikiisa sa laban na i-acquit sina Frenchie Mae Cumpio at Marielle “Maye” Domequil mula sa gawa-gawaong kaso na ipinatong sa kanila anim na taon na ang nakalilipas.

Huwag din nating kalilimutan na palakasin ang laban para sa hustisya para sa paglaya ni Alexander Philip “Chakoy” Abinguna na siya ring biktima ng gawa-gawang kaso mula sa estado.

Hindi kailanman magiging kasalanan ang pakipaglaban sa karapatan ng bayan. Ito ang diwa na dapat isinasapuso natin habang patuloy na lumalaban sa pagkamit ng hustisya. Huwag hayaang masunod ang mithiin ng estado na magkaroon ng mga pilipinong mangmang, at nakapikit na susunod sa kanilang masasamang hangarin.

'Tis really is the season to be jolly! UP Tacloban Volleyball Club wishes everyone a merry celebration of their holidays! May this militant season be a reminder of our grit and strength we carry on the court.

As UP students, our games are never detached from the people’s calls.Every point echoes our commitment to fight beyond comfort and complacency. This Christmas, may we be more reminded to give back to the community by continuously joining them in the fight for better governance and social justice.

Southern Leyte is in dire need of help!

Days after Typhoon struck the province, many houses remain submerged, and there is a severe scarcity of food. Homes have also been heavily damaged, bringing even more agony to the people.

In line with this, the UP Tacloban Volleyball Club, in partnership with the Student Council, will be conducting a donation drive for the people of Southern Leyte—particularly in the town of Silago.

Donations of any kind will be greatly appreciated by those affected by the typhoon.
