FINAL CALL FOR ABSTRACTS FOR PAPER PRESENTATION
SUBMISSION CLOSES ON NOV. 18, 2025, 11:59PM
As part of LNU English Month Celebration, the Languages and Literature Unit, in cooperation with English Circle, English Language Studies Enthusiasts, MAEd-Language Teaching and MEd-English Students, and Office of Research and Innovation, will host the 1st International and 3rd National Language and Literature Undergraduate Research Conference (INLLURC) on November 27-28, 2025 via Zoom.
This will be a 2-day full online, virtual research colloquium that will highlight: a) plenary talks of invited international and local speakers who are experts in language and literature research and pedagogy; 2) invited alumni and master’s students who will share their research outputs in the themed paper presentation, and 3) research paper presentations of undergraduate students from public and private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Philippines and across the globe.
Specifically, the conference aims to gather BSEd-English, BA English Language/Linguistics, and BA Literature/BA Literary and Cultural Studies undergraduate students to share their research outputs in language education, linguistics, and literary and cultural studies in a virtual platform. Students who graduated this year who completed their thesis are welcome to participate and present.
Not only will they be able to share knowledge production, but also professional linkages across the nation and the globe.
The theme of this year’s INLLURC is “English language and literature: Critical voices of care and equity” which hopes to create a discourse on the role of language and literary studies in responding to today’s global context where language, literature, and pedagogy intersect with urgent ethical and social concerns.
The conference has two presentation streams:
1. Language Studies
2. Literary and/or Cultural Studies
The research activity is registration-free for all the participating institutions, and it will be held via Zoom Teleconferencing, which can cater 500 participants only. Accepted paper presenters will be given priority attendance in the virtual conference.
