EVSU-SAAD Signs MOA with Municipality of Babatngon for Community Extension Programs
The Eastern Visayas State University – School of Architecture and Allied Disciplines, through its Architecture and Interior Design Programs, formally entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Municipality of Babatngon, Leyte.
This partnership strengthens the university’s commitment to community development through two flagship extension programs:
🟢 PLACEMAKING Program (Planning Livable Areas for Community Engagement, Maximizing Awareness, Keeping Inclusivity, and Neighborhood Growth) – which focuses on creating inclusive, engaging, and sustainable public spaces; and
🟣 FACADE Program (Forwarding Artisan Community-Allied Design Extension) – which aims to empower local artisans and enhance community aesthetics through creative design solutions.

Representing the Municipality of Babatngon were Hon. Eleonor B. Lugnasan, Municipal Mayor; EnP Vicky Placa, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator; Engr. John Rey Laurente, Municipal Engineer; and Atty. Lito Odon, Municipal Administrator.
This collaboration marks a shared vision between EVSU-SAAD and the Municipality of Babatngon to foster innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability in local community development.
