𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍𝒔, 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔

In response to the call of Brigada Eskwela 2026 and inspired by its theme, "𝘽𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙖 𝙋𝙖𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣: 𝙉𝙖𝙜𝙠𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙞𝙨𝙖 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙆𝙖𝙖𝙮𝙪𝙨𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙩 𝙆𝙖𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙣" the Brother Knights of 𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙇𝙖𝙙𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙈𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙈𝙚𝙙𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙡 14447 participated in a meaningful community service activity at Marasbaras Elementary School.

Living out the Knights of Columbus' principle of Charity, members of the Council gathered before sunrise and began cleaning the school surroundings at around 6:30 in the morning. Armed with cleaning tools and a spirit of service, four Sir Knights - 𝙎𝙆 𝙀𝙙𝙜𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙤 𝙎. 𝙏𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙣- 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙆𝙣𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 together with 𝙎𝙆 𝙎𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙤 𝘾. 𝙁𝙡𝙤𝙧, 𝙎𝙆 𝙀𝙙𝙬𝙞𝙣 𝙉. 𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙪𝙞𝙠𝙖𝙮 and 𝙎𝙆 𝙉𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧 𝙊. 𝙁𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙤𝙣 - sweated it out removing overgrown grass and clearing the area outside the school gate. Their dedication and hard work reflected the Knights' commitment to serving the community through humble acts of service.

Although some Brother Knights were unable to personally join the activity due to work and other commitments, they remained united in support by contributing monetary donations used to purchase floor wax and other needed cleaning materials. Their generosity demonstrated that fraternity extends beyond physical presence and that every contribution, no matter the size, helps advance a common mission.

The Council was warmly assisted by 𝙈𝙖'𝙖𝙢 𝙅𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙖𝙝 𝙂. 𝙈𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙨, the school's Brigada Eskwela Coordinator, who warmly welcomed and guided the Council throughout the undertaking..

More than a simple clean-up drive, the undertaking was a testament to the Knights of Columbus' commitment to serving both Church and community. By helping create a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment, Council 14447 contributed to the success of Brigada Eskwela while strengthening the spirit of Bayanihan among stakeholders.

Through this initiative, the Brother Knights once again proved that Faith in Action is more than a slogan - it is a way of life. When men of faith unite in service, they become instruments of positive change, helping build stronger schools, stronger communities, and a brighter future for the youth.

Council 14447 likewise extends its heartfelt gratitude to 𝙈𝙖'𝙖𝙢 𝙇𝙮𝙣𝙣𝙖 𝘿. 𝘿𝙚 𝙂𝙪𝙯𝙢𝙖𝙣, School Principal IV, through School Head OIC 𝙎𝙞𝙧 𝙍𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙤 𝙈. 𝙉𝙞𝙢 𝙅𝙧., for giving the Council the opportunity to serve and participate in the school's Brigada Eskwela 2026. Such partnership exemplifies how schools and community organizations can work hand in hand in nurturing a conducive learning environment for the benefit of every learner.

The Knights of Columbus recognize that the family is the cornerstone of faith, the first school of values, and the foundation of a strong community. Investing in parents is investing in the future of the Church.

With this spirit, 𝐒𝐊 𝐄𝐝𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 𝐒. 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧, Grand Knight of Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Council 14447 attended the Parenting Seminar, "𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭" conducted by BCBP Tacloban South.

The seminar offered valuable lessons through four meaningful talks:

𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗱’𝘀 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗿𝘆

The 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐭 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 2026 was a joyful gathering where every participant and church organization came together to celebrate the wonderful gifts bestowed by God. In unity and fellowship, the 𝐊𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 14447 together with the Lay Ministers, proudly shared their unique talents, dedication, and spirit of service for the glory of God.

The night was filled with inspiring performances, laughter, and meaningful moments that reflected the strong bond of the parish community. More than entertainment, the event became a living testimony that every talent is a blessing from the Lord and a beautiful way to express gratitude, faith, and brotherhood.

Indeed, through collaboration, participation, and fraternal unity, OLMM Parish Night Got Talent 2026 became a celebration of faith where hearts, voices, and talents were offered back to God in thanksgiving and praise.

𝗔 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗨𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹

In moments of sorrow, the true spirit of fraternity shines brightest. The Knights of Columbus once again lived out the values of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity as they accompanied the bereaved family of 𝐒𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐉𝐎4 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐚 𝐑. 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐳 from the prayer service, to the Funeral Mass, and until her final earthly journey at the cemetery.

The Funeral Mass held at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish V &G Subdivision Tacloban City was attended by 𝐒𝐊 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐨 𝐏. 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐨 , District V-74 District Deputy, 𝐒𝐊 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐀. 𝐆𝐨𝐧𝐳𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬, Grand Knight of Arch. Lino R. Gonzaga Council 8185 and 𝐒𝐊 𝐄𝐝𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 𝐒. 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧 , Grand Knight of Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Council 14447 , who offered prayers, presence, and support to the grieving family during this difficult time.

GK Joselito and GK Edgardo also joined the interment at Holy Cross Memorial Garden where Sister Perla was rendered BJMP funeral honors, the same solemn honor bestowed upon her beloved husband, the late 𝐒𝐊 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐢𝐧 "𝐖𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐤" 𝐁. 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐳 ,𝐉𝐫. Past Grand Knight of Council 8185, who was laid there five months ago.

A heartfelt moment unfolded as GK Edgardo comforted Ashlea Mae grand daughter of PGK Wetik and Sister Perla, and his former Grade 7- Jade student at LNHS. Amid tears and grief, the bond of faith and fraternity became a source of strength and consolation.

Farewell, Sister Perla. May you now rest peacefully in God’s loving embrace beside your dear husband, PGK Wetik. Though separated from us on earth, your love and memories will forever remain alive in the hearts of those you touched.

To the family, the Knights of Columbus remain one with you in prayer, trusting that God grants eternal rest to the faithful departed.

In solemn unity and faithful service, the Knights of Columbus Honor Guards once again brought dignity and reverence to the Pontifical Mass of San Jose Parish during its 39𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 2026 held on May 25, 2026.

The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐅. 𝐃𝐮, 𝐃𝐃, Archbishop , Archdiocese of Palo together with nearly 50 concelebrating priests, making the celebration even more historic and spiritually meaningful.

Ten Honor Guards from 𝐃𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐂. 𝐃𝐞 𝐕𝐞𝐲𝐫𝐚 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 0985 and 𝐌𝐬𝐠𝐫. 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧 𝐌. 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐚 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 3867 faithfully stood in service.

Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Council 14447 was represented by 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐊𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐒𝐊 𝐄𝐝𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 𝐒. 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧

A beautiful full-circle moment also happened as SK Edgardo reunited with his former Leyte National High School Grade 7- Quartz student 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐳 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐨 after eight years - now walking the path of vocation as a seminarian.

Truly, faith has a way of reconnecting hearts through God’s calling. 🙏

Paid tribute and offered prayers for 𝑺𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒍𝒂 𝑹. 𝑴𝒖𝒍𝒅𝒆𝒛 the beloved wife of the late 𝑺𝑲. 𝑫𝒆𝒍𝒇𝒊𝒏 𝑩. 𝑴𝒖𝒍𝒅𝒆𝒛, 𝑱𝒓. - Past Grand Knight of Council 8185.

The prayer service was solemnly led by 𝑺𝑲. 𝑴𝒊𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒆𝒍 𝑨𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒍𝒐 𝑷. 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒐, District Deputy of District V-74.

Sister Perla was more than a supportive spouse; she was a silent strength behind her husband’s faithful journey in the Order. Her unwavering support, love, and dedication to their shared mission of faith and service will always be remembered.

Only a few months after the passing of SK. Delfin, populary known as 𝑮𝑲 𝑾𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒌, Sister Perla has now joined him in God’s eternal embrace. Though saddened by her passing, we find comfort knowing that love rooted in faith never truly ends.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 2026 became a memorable celebration of faith, unity, and thanksgiving as the Knights of Columbus together with the Eucharistic Lay Ministers of Holy Communion actively participated in the event themed : “𝐒𝐭. 𝐈𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 2026: 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡, 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠.”

The first ever Got Talent 2026 opened its doors to everyone beyond the parish community, giving contestants the opportunity to showcase their God-given talents in singing and dancing.

Church organizations also shared their vibrant presentations - the CWL (Catholic Women's League) Lay Ministers & K of C, Lectors, Choir, Altar Boys and Youth Ministry energized the crowd with their dance performances, while the AMEn (Archdiocesan Marriage Encounter) group brought laughter and joy through their entertaining comical act.

𝙁𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙑𝙞𝙧𝙜𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙤 "𝙂𝙞𝙡" 𝘾. 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙤𝙜, 𝙎.𝙏𝙝. 𝘿, Parish Priest and Council 14447 Chaplain, also graced the occasion as one of the judges. More than a night of entertainment, the activity became a beautiful witness of unity and collaboration among church servants, ministries, and organizations - a true reflection of the Knights of Columbus spirit of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism.

𝐌𝐬𝐠𝐫. 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧 𝐌. 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐚 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 3867 proudly welcomes its newly elected Assembly Officers for Fraternal Year 2026–2027 — a new chapter of leadership grounded in fraternity, patriotism, and committed service.

Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Marasbaras Council 14447 Fourth Degree actively took part in the electoral process and faithfully exercised their right to vote, proving once again that true brotherhood thrives through participation and unity.

In the spirit of fraternity and commitment, Council 14447 Grand Knight 𝐒𝐊 𝐄𝐝𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 𝐒. 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧 was elected as Faithful Captain, while PGK 𝐒𝐊 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐂 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫 was elected as Faithful Inner Sentinels , ready to embrace their duties with honor and dedication.

Under the leadership of newly elected Faithful Navigator 𝐖𝐃𝐃 𝐒𝐊 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐨 𝐏. 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐨, the new set of officers aims to strengthen the Assembly through active programs, stronger camaraderie, and meaningful service so that every Fourth Degree member may continue to enjoy fraternity, grow spiritually, and serve the Order with passion and commitment.

“𝗧𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗛𝗢𝗡𝗢𝗥, 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗗 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗱𝘂𝘁𝘆"

The Knights of Columbus Honor Guards of Ferdinand Magellan Province stood with pride and reverence during the Pontifical Mass of the 2026 Fiesta Celebration of Our Lady of Fatima Parish with the Theme: "𝐒𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 , 𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐧, 𝐃𝐮𝐲𝐨𝐠 𝐡𝐚 𝐩𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐤𝐚𝐮𝐩𝐨𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐥 𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚" exemplifying the spirit of faith, fraternity, and patriotism.

Clad in their dignified J and B uniforms, the Worthy Sir Knights added solemnity and honor to the sacred celebration through their disciplined, presence and dedicated service.

The Holy Mass was presided over by 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐎𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐫 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐞 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐨, 𝐃.𝐃 ,𝐒𝐓𝐡𝐃 together with 30 concelebrating priests, gathering the faithful in a meaningful celebration of devotion and unity.

Among those who rendered service was,𝐒𝐊 𝐄𝐝𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 𝐒. 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧 , Grand Knight of Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Marasbaras Council 14447, who joined the Honor Guard for the very first time. His participation served as a beautiful manifestation of wholehearted commitment, steadfast support, and faithful dedication to the mission of the Order and the Church.

Truly, to serve at the altar of faith is an 𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐑 and to stand 𝐆𝐔𝐀𝐑𝐃 for the Church is a duty worthy of every Catholic gentleman.

𝗔 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱, 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗺, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀

The Regular Monthly Council Meeting was filled with both fraternity and gratitude as eleven Worthy Brothers gathered on a special Sunday dedicated to honoring mothers and strengthening the Council through a COR focused on Unity and Patriotism (Matthew 22: 15-22)

The occasion reminded everyone that behind every faithful Knight is the love, sacrifice, and prayers of a mother who nurtures faith, compassion, and service - a touching reminder of the sacred role of mothers in every Christian family.

As Brother Knights, we are reminded that true patriotism begins with faithful obedience to God, love for country, and unity with one another. We serve not only as Catholic gentlemen devoted to the Church, but also as responsible citizens committed to the welfare of our community and nation. In the same way, mothers exemplify this Gospel message through their selfless love, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to both family and faith — nurturing children to become God-loving and country-loving individuals.

As discussions, fellowship, and reflections unfolded, the gathering became more than just a meeting — it became a celebration of brotherhood, family values, and love for God and country. Inspired by the spirit of unity, the Council renewed its dedication to serve as one family of Catholic gentlemen committed to charity, patriotism, and hope-filled leadership.
