The TCC-League of Sociology Students formally transferred its leadership and advisory responsibilities during the organizationโs Turn-Over Ceremony held on July 15, 2026, at NEE Building 203, carrying the theme โOne Organization. One Goal. New Legacy.โ
The ceremony marked a significant transition for TCC-LSS as the outgoing adviser, Ms. Mary Cris Silos, officially handed over its duties to the incoming adviser, Ms. Mary Diane B. Raiz, for Academic Year 2026โ2027. Faculty members and student leaders gathered to witness the passing of responsibilities that will guide the organization into its next chapter.
The program opened with an invocation and the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, followed by a welcome address from Sociology Program Head Catherine Q. Sabaysabay. In his message of gratitude, Dr. Cesar Z. Gamba, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, recognized the dedication of the outgoing officers and encouraged the incoming administration to continue upholding the values of service, accountability, and excellence.
The key highlight of the ceremony was the Presentation and Turnover of Organizational Files, a symbolic transfer of the records, reports, accomplishments, and documents that contributed to TCC-LSS being recognized as the Top 1 Organization of Tagoloan Community College. The files represented not only the organizationโs achievements but also the hard work, commitment, and collective efforts of the previous administration that led to the prestigious institutional recognition.
Following the turnover of files, the formal transfer of leadership and advisory responsibilities officially installed the new administration. Outgoing adviser Mary Cris Silos expressed gratitude for the opportunity to guide the organization and reflected on its remarkable achievements, while incoming adviser Mary Diane B. Raiz affirmed her support for the new officers as they continue the organizationโs mission.
The ceremony concluded with closing remarks from SBO Adviser Dov Shalzar Romero Sandalo and a photo opportunity with faculty members, officers, and student participants.
More than a ceremonial exchange, the event served as a reminder that leadership is built on continuity. As TCC-LSS begins another academic year under new leadership and guidance, the organization carries forward the legacy that earned it the distinction of being the Top 1 organization in the entire institution, with the goal of sustaining excellence and creating an even stronger future for the sociology community.
